I won't recognize any so called clanner that's playing IS mechs while they should just be setting out the game and waiting on their mechs,

By what radical reasoning?? Almost everything the IS can field the Clans can (theoretically) field, because they took hundreds of mechs with them, including designs like the Atlas which the IS has not improved on to this day.... The only thing the IS has that the clan doesn`t have is the inferior newfangled crap like the Jager, Blackjac, Highlander and Raven.

or to be blunt - no one but another hardnut clanner cares what you will or will not recognize. Actually you shouldn't even be on the forums - canners won't associate with spheroids. ;)

If you actually believe that, why are you as an obvious spheroid even here in this section of the forums to begin with? Unless you`re a clanner playing devil`s advocate, in which case I apologize.

I mean no disrespect, I`m just trying to understand the logic and reasoning behind the statements.... :)

You do know that you are posting in the Clans section of the forums...

And there are no Clansmen at this point of the game - we are just independents at this point, bidding our time until ...

SLDF. And I believe some were taken when Kerensky left.

I totally agree. Why should we feel bound by the lore? Don't you oppress me!

I am going to call my unit the Awesome Jedi Clan. They are a secret Clan trained by Luke Skywalker. Led by alternate reality versions of Hello Kitty and Samus from Metroid (also trained by Luke Skywalker). Their warships are the ships from Starship Troopers outfitted with the weapons from the Vorlons from Babylon 5. My unit is going to be kick ***.

cool hope it works out for you.

Funniest part will be all the Star Captains and Star Commanders that will be running around when Clans are introduced. Lol I'd say out of an 8 man squad most will claim to be just that :). Completely impossible of course if you look at the lore. Or the amount of people claiming to have blooded names rofl. Add that to the made up clans and sorry I am not going to take them very seriously. ;)

None except the 20 original founding groups made up by Nicholas Kerensky are called Clan.

You can call yourselves whatever you like, we know the real deal and will have your heads for your blasphemies.

Typical spheroids ... twisting everything to their ends ... tsk tsk tsk

If we're just going to make up names, I nominate the Jade Falcons to become 'Clan Clay Pigeon'.

As long as we have had the Clans we've had fans (and even members of TPTB) making up all sorts of silly non-canon ones (Clan Mutant Sea Bass, Clan Fuzzy Bunny, etc.). What I'm surprised at is that in the century of lore following the Invasion, there has never been a canon merc company (or other Successor State unit) with a silly Clan name, so named as to deliberately mock the Clans (on top of some overt anti-Clan agenda). I think that would be amazing.

You guys are seriously offended because a few guys want to name their group of imaginary robot driving dudes a "clan" and it doesn't jive with the 'approved' list of group of imaginary robot driving dudes?

Get a life.

Obviously cares a lot about the franchise.
We should listen to him, not the people posting a point in an issue that might actually come to be of some importance when the mary sues come in force...

Maybe signing up to tell someone to get a life is the worse option.
