Color me totally and completely unexcited. Maybe 3 percent of the users will buy that ridiculous monstrosity. So all the hype for the last 5 days has been as far as i can tell for something almost entirely not related to the game. My expectations for this game just bottomed out. Cash in appears to be the name of the game.

You're the one that made that comparison, mate. I was thinking more along the lines of chinchillas.

You mean Guinea pigs. These are Guinea pigs. *wee wee*

Let me remind you about code of conduct again. Keep conversation polite or stay away of it if you can't.

Well what do you want me to call it? Some of the mental gymnastic people did in those threads I haven't seen since 9/11 conspiracy theories. It's not like I called anyone in particular out over it, just that there was plenty of opportunity for face-palm.

Describing a rough collection of thoughts from no-one in particular as 'stupid' is hardly against a single rule listed there.

I wouldn't say it was overhyped. Just misleading. If they had said, "our friends at Razor will have an announcement in 5 days", that would have been different.

I doubt I would buy it but I'm glad they will offer such a product. Instead of buying controllers made for cars and airplanes, we have the option of buying one made just for mechs. How cool is that?

Please stop complaining about a peripheral that will be made just for us Mechwarriors. Seriously, we got our own controller! FTW

If u see the backside photo, u can clearly see it's NOT modular.

U can allways get a logitech G13 as keypad and a "normal" joystick if u are so kind on this and don't want the screen

Having extra USB ports for the other peripherals does not guarantee that those others must plug into it, it means they're being courteous by not taking up 3 USB ports on your computer itself.

So did I, lol...inherited it from my brother. I still remember the day my dad brought home something called a Nintendo.

"What's that, Dad?"
"It's a Nintendo."
"What's a Nintendo?"
"It's like an Atari, only better."
"LOL YEAH, RIGHT!"

And then Contra swallowed my social life.

It's true that we don't know it (the price), but have you ever checked Razer product's prices ?
http://store.razerzo...DisplayHomePage
It will give you an idea (decent mouses for 60-130$, keyboards for 100-200$ and not the top ones). Add to that at least 100 bucks for the screen, see the price point now ?

I dont disagree this thing will be a bit on the upper scale of cost, but remember that the web site lists their suggested retail price.
Compare, look at the Logitech (which is what I use for a mouse and keyboard) suggested prices. Razer is not really out of line altho I think they are high priced, lol

I mean this this would be cool to own (usefulness unknown yet), it would be a great gift for someone, it would also be a great PRIZE if RAZER and PGI had a drawing to give some away (HINT HINT)

Oh, and someone mentioned about ti not being modular. Remember this is just CONCEPT at this time. I suspect it will be modular and maybe, just maybe, cheap smaucks like me can get it a part at a time, lol.

For those that like it and want it, great.

For us old retired folks on a fixed income, well, we have other expenses...

You expectations for the game bottomed out because they provided you with OPTIONS?!

Remind me not to courteously offer you anything, I might return with a bloody stump.

ah but if you check the razor video on it......it actually looks modular - now possibly two versions - one modular; one not..... but the g13 doesn't have throttle ;)

The video simply removed the screen to show flashy arrows to tell you that the joystick and keypad communicate to each other.

Interpreting that as 'modular' is a stretch. Don't you think if it was modular they'd have pointed that out?

I just want to know the price of "saving" those 3 USB ports ^^

I have to give Razer this much, though: their mechanical keyboards feel amazing. The Logitech keyboards they make these days feel like there are packing peanuts underneath the keys, compared to the Black Widow.

Oh, and you can get a Black Widow for 80 bucks. Pretty good for a mechanical keyboard with macro keys and the anti-ghosting key matrix...but do yourself a favour and get the stealth version if you buy one, because the glossy version is like the original PS3...it's kind of hard to keep it looking clean.

I just hope that the mini display functionality is open to people with a second monitor so we can build our own kit. For example there is a app to be able to use your phone/tablet as a 2nd touchscreen display. It'd be great to be able to push your MFD to this instead of having to buy the razor stuff. Plus razor is always spendy.

I'm honestly kind of pissed. All that buildup for a third-party moneysink that doesn't even exist yet? I expected big game news, not... this.

Everyone who is disappointed has only themselves to blame for overhyping it. Obviously there will be a lot of news this week so calm down.
