What I don`t like about limiting it to / using trial mechs: The current Heavy trial mech, which is a community built champion mech where the only thing stock is the chassis. Taka a wild guess what most people would be driving.... as this will probably not be the last champion mech, that ideas is essentially forfeit.
I see 2 ways to do this reasonably:
Either a: you drop with a standard (non hero, non founders, non champion) chassis and your own loadout, and your loadout is reverted to factory stock for the match.
or b:
you have to pohysically own and drop with an untouched (hardware-wise) chassis. you can paint it as often as you like and put a thousand hula-mojo-girls on the dash, but that`s it.
I think A is more user friendly but tosses up a whole mess of problems in it`S implementation, whereas b is a bit of a Money sink, but not an insurmountable one, and would possibly even make the game more acessible to new players by putting us ALL in overheating deathboxes.
PS: those that "want to vote but won`t due to poll" have either not read or understood either the very first line of the OP, or have issues with the difference between a "vote" and a "petition".
Vote: 2 evils to choose from, pick your poison.
Petition: sign my clipboard if you want it and agree that we need it, or get out of my face.
