Ive seen this happen alot of times already and not just to me. When someone gets a high dmg and alot of kills just by luck or skill, the opposing team just starts spamming "hacker".

Just because someone is good at a game DOES NOT mean they are hacking :I Im tired of being called a hacker when I have a lucky match.
500 DMG and 5 kills in Raven is not a hack. That mech is fricken OP as sheet :I So please. Dont call me a hacker. I would never hack or even know where to go to get hacks.

I'm gonna move this to the Barracks... as it's more of a Pilot-to-Pilot discussion, and not so much a Suggestion to the Developers/Staff.

Raven pilots like you are called Vultures. Or it could be your team sucks that badly where you as the light pilot has to do all the damage.
Any team who lets a Raven score 5 kills and doesn't focus fire him after the first kill deserves that embarrassment. Then again this is a space poor/scrub lord target rich environment.

Raw damage alone certainly doesn't point to hacking, so you're safe there. Most pilots average about 150-200 damage per kill unless they get lucky (or their team strips the armour first).

Games where two Atlai get headshot at 800m+ by snipers in the first two minutes... *thats* aimbot hacking. At that range the head is barely one pixel in size on most screens, so having it happen twice in 30 seconds by the same pilot is very damning evidence (and gets a report sent to Support email).

Firstly I am NOT calling the OP a hacker, I have seen some insanely good light pilots sweep up several kills and 500-1000 damage because they are good.

But....

We play A LOT of games, 8 mans and 4 mans, we know when we are outclassed in a match, but when your in a match and your center torso of a spider is shot out by 5 members of the other team from the edge of the weapons range, I call shenanigans.

There are aim bots and stuff like that out there and people will use them because they can get away with it. If you have the missfortune to be on the same team as these cheaters then I'm afraid you have no one to blame but your team mates.

Sad but true.

You know, the actual aimbot that is out there, is actually super terrible? Not sure if the videos are still available, but it was actually only useful if the target was standing still, because it has no prediction it didn't lock to a particular bodypart or anything.

The most damaging part of that package, was the radar stuff they did, so you can see everyone, and each person was colour coded to a game state (visable, looking at you, invisible)

Even at max weapon range, if you were standing still in that spider...then yea..not at all hard to hit you.

Sometimes people are just that good, other times people are just that lucky.

You'd have to elaborate on the circumstances, but for example i've played River City is great for base to base sniping and it's easy to do.

In a cursory look around the internets dark halls, i actually found a user review of the MWO aimbot...i won't post it incase i anger some community mod who sends me to the depths of hell.....but even they said it's pointless because it's worse than most newbies aim.

Seen it happen without aimbots, sometimes people get lucky. If they are very good they get lucky more often :)

I agree that aimbots and firing macros are a problem.

Macros are not cheating. They are allowed third party software that anyone can use. Even budget mice have some kind of software that allows macros. I also believe there is free software that will work with any mouse/keyboard.

Plus the only time a macro is useful is on a AC2 boat which as a lot of players on here will say is not as threatening as a Poptart highlander/phract.

I had one game recently where I found myself rounding into 3-4 enemy mechs. I fired and started twisted, all the time moving. My CT was armor stripped quick so I altered vector and tried to get round a corner. My rear centre was cored and I died. No damage to any side torso, front or rear.

Shrug, I don't know; it just makes me wonder.

Saying that using a Macros that can pinpoint my position in you cross-hairs without you having to locate, target then fire because it's free is just silly.
Take your Poptard example, it jumps up above the ship, doesn't have to find a target or aim, just presses the fire button and their auto target is cored. Or, let us take two light mechs in a circle duel, one always has it's cross hairs locked on the other, just run and press the button while the other has to aim, pilot and shoot, the macro'd mech would never lose lock with their Streak SRM's!
Where would the definition of cheating come into play then?

Just because everyone speeds doesn't mean that you don't get a ticket or because Everyone has the ability to rob a bank doesn't make that legal either.

You might want to look up the deffinition of Macro, Hack and script again.

MrTarget wrote about Macros. These are 3rd party programs which you can use to map multiple key presses to one button (Such as a basic "GL and HF" macro which you can use to type that into allchat at the start of the round with just 1 button for a really simple example). What a Macro can not do is to show you where the enemy is, aim the crosshair for you or fire weapons by itself when the shot is clear. You still havhe to manually press the macro key at the right time and aim manually.

What you mentioned are all either scripts or game hacks where the 3rd party program does the work of aiming (Aimbot), informing (wallhack/informationhack) and shooting when the shot is posisble (autoaimbot) for the user.

Haha ^ Dont worry I dont kill steal. I hate that! I was just the last guy and the enemy team was pretty beat up. I had spent the whole match capping.
