Apprarently you lack the understanding of just how bad some mechs hit box designs are.

Then we can move on the to the real MWO: team based tournaments that select out the best of the best teams, and stream them fighting 8 on 8 (or 12 on 12). Much mech **** will be had!!!

Fortunately the still buggy hit detection and damage transfer mitigates the advantage of any aimbot... Wait...maybe that's PGI anti-aimbot strategy! Brilliant...

Sorry dude, but within 2 hours of play I was top 10. You simply didn't have the skill to get there or had a string of bad games. Don't blame "having a life." I work 10-12 hours a day and come home and play a couple hours when it's possible. Focus on improving instead of blaming everything but yourself.
Think you miss took my point that great you got into the top 10 in a short time. I see you're on the board for 2 days in the top 10. I don't care if I was not in the top 10 or not. The thing is most of the tourney was ruled by those who had long hours to sit there and play alot. yes you cracked the top 10 twice good for you. But over all most probably played a lot longer then you or me so they had better score based on more matches. and over all you finished 9th in assault gratz to ya. Ya I made it to top 14 in 2 hours after that I didn't play went to bed then to work the day changed and I ended up 64th so ya those who had more time had more chance to better score. I frankly don't care I am just pointing out. the more you play the more you are better to win these or unless god like you are able to stay in the top 10 honest don't think you played for 2 or less hours on those days. considering you only did it twice.

Yes, playing more will give you more shots at good matches, that's just the way it is. But compiling the best out of 5 matches is a VAST improvement over the original tourney that was truly a battle of who could sleep the least. PGI has to draw the line somewhere.

iirc he drove a hunch SP for a few rounds, both for and against while a few other times he was in a Jag w/2x AC20s (not sure with or w/o 2 med lasers). He was effective with both mechs but he did not survive all the matches.
I was keeping an eye on who was in the drop but not due to the contest but to see if he was dropping with a unit mate(s), which would mean at least he (be it on my side or not) was likely setup with VOIP and would be more effective than being a true pug.

So I'm not the only Gauss Spider...
Cosmetic question, should the Gauss Rifle be an attached barrel or a hand-held rifle for the Spider? The Gauss Spider in one of the books actually used a rifle. It's obvious it can only use 1 Gauss. What do you think?

I noticed the time of day has an influence on the quality of players I am matched up with, when the player pool is low, I find it far easier to rack up the kills than during 'prime times'.

If you're playing during dead hours, and it's a large percentage of the top placed players grinding those dead hours, naturally you'd run up against a lot of those other guys. In which case those rounds are difficult to really dominate and pull out monster rounds over the heads of those other strong players. I had great rounds at 6am, I had great rounds at 2pm, I had great rounds at 10pm, everything. Kinda the luck of the draw, really.

I think it should be in your hand and a specialty of the Spider could be that if you point the Gauss down and fire while moving, you can "rocket jump" ala the original Doom!

PGI or IGP..do you know what solo versus team means?
How about you have a team competition for the team based game since there are no ways of conducting solo missions or one vs one (i.e., solo versus solo).
This kind of mentality means you will never get any money from me.
