I'm not concerned about the PPC/Gauss builds...Highlanders, 3Ds, and PPC Stalkers fill that role better as others have demonstrated. This QQ is akin to the OMG 4xUAC Jagers of pre-release myth....meh
What I am slightly miffed about, is the blatant survivability of the Stalker using a std. engine and a 'normal' build with these hardpoints. Missiles are in a horibad place right now...PPCs are itching for a nerf...Consider the following...
Atlas RS
std. 340 (60.6kph w/ tweak)
17 DHS
endo
4xLL (obnoxiously low mounts)
1xAC/20 (3 tons ammo)
544 armor
Misery
std. 285 (59.7kph w/ tweak)
16 DHS
endo
4xLL (nice high mounts)
1xAC/20 (3 tons ammo)
480 armor
Obviously both builds run hot (coolshot required)...Alpha-to-shutdown remains the same even at -1 DHS
Best 'Brawling' Atlas I use atm not requiring nerfed missiles
similar speed
convergence and cover favor stalker
twist+arms favor RS
slightly more armor for RS vs. Obnoxious Cent-like survivability of the Stalker
Interesting call on which is best, but I just can't help feeling it further marginalizes Atlases. I personally would take the intrinsics of the stalker any day...and If I was going to spend more money on this broken game the above would be my build of choice until missiles are re-evaluated.
Basically, misery is a more heat-effecient version of a 6xLL build...and a more survivable version of an RS build rolled into one. It's a good hero mech no doubt, but I just don't like how it's better than existing builds of it's nature/weight class. Of course I never liked how the stalker was straight up better than most of the awesomes either (exceptions being speed-based 9Ms/PBs).
