I'd say all we can know for sure at this point is

2 energy in each arm
1 energy in center torso
1 missile in right torso
1 ballistic in left torso

5 energy, 1 missile, 1 ballistic...

Actually, Thontor, you missed the two missiles in each arm. The 3F, 5M, and 5S each have 10 hard points while the 3H and 4N have 8 and 9, respectively. I'm assuming that this will be a variant of the 5M with the ballistic replacing the 2 LT missile slots. This would give it 9 HPs which is the base 10 minus 1 - a common quirk seen in alot of the heroes released. That would give you:

5 Energy (2 in each arm, 1 in the center torso)
3 Missiles (1 in each arm, 1 in the right torso)
1 Ballistic (1 in the left torso)

If it is based on the 3H, then your assessment would be right. But it'll probably swing between those two with some movement quirks added in like we saw with the Pretty Baby. Either way, it is going to be an odd

buying this followed by a massive cbill grind

finally a use for those wasted leg slots being able to stick some ammo in.

Someone mention this, yet? The 8S of the board-game Stalker had a Gauss, 2 ERPPCs, 2 MPLs, 2ERML. Seems like this one has SRM tubes on the side(s), so who knows?

Misery is also the name of the battle/world the Wolf's Dragoons took part in, one of the lead commanders of that merc/clan group being a Stalker pilot. Would stand to reason that's what this one's supposed to emulate.

The teeth and eyes are from old P-40 Warhawks and the more current A-10 Thunderbolt/Warthog. They're awesome. That's all there is to the teeth and eyes.

The first thing I thought of was the A-10. One of the ugliest looking jets but beautifully destructive. From the design, it appears to be a possibly modified 5M (looks like an energy slot in the CT) or it could just be a completely new variant. Because it is an 85-ton mech it has to remove some components in order to mount that ballistic weapon so it will be interesting to see its final loadout. If missiles are fixed with the release of this mech I think this will make for an interesting one-two hit of missiles and a gauss rifle round.

I would add additional quotes from the QQ train, but it would probably take up an entire page. It's amazing how this Hero mech isn't even out and people are already complaining of P2W, OP, etc. and we don't even know what it is carrying or exactly what the crit slots will be! This is one of the more ambitious designs I've seen for a special variant because it has to make sacrifices somewhere in order to take a heavier, ammo-based, ballistic weapon; and stalkers during this time period didn't have ballistic slots. I'm going to hold out on complaining until we see how well this mech actually performs.

If only it were as durable as an A-10...

I deliberately never bought a 3rd Stalker for this reason. There's a mech bay with "Misery" written on it. Now I just have to wait four more months for them to mark it down 30% so I can go buy it. :(

Remember the Stalkers also have missile doors on the arms, so don't put that much faith in the idea that it is down 3 missile points.

All I said is that we can only see 5 energy, 1 missile, and 1 ballistic.

We can't see if there are missiles in the arms... There probably are, but we can't see them so we can't know for sure.

I'm agreeing with ya cause you did a good job on the pic and you were right on your basis of that pic :(

If you are going to keep bringing up the 8S, at least READ it's actual payload.

It has a
HEAVY GAUSS RIFLE
LIGHT FUSION ENGINE
and ER MEDIUM LASERS

none of which exist ANYTIME in the near future for the IS. (The H.Gauss and Light Fusion don't exist ANYWHERE yet, technically)

Looks for me as a another pay to win mech, its the only stalker with a ballistic slot. If there were another stalker with a ballistic slot with cbills then I wouldnt say a word, but it isnt.

The viability this mech will have over the other 5 variants will be gigantic. The 5M used as a brawler with 5 medium lasers and 5 SRM6's is already the brawler version of the Stalker, this Misery dude is roflstomping on it, if u can have an AC/20 instead of 2 SRM6's it will always be a better brawler (coz of pinpoint damage and range of the ballistic wpn) and way less heat. Im thinking it will be around 1.32 heat efficiency, and the 5M sits at 1.24.

In the other hand, I will never use a gauss rifle on a stalker, I dont even use them on Atlas anymore. Those things blow up way 2 easy, if u use one, be ready to get focus on that side torso and blown up in pieces.

KEEP bringing up? Did I bring it up before?

And yeah, it has a HG and a super-duper engine, but that doesn't mean they aren't emulating its design here. Read between the lines.

Off the top of my head I can only think of 2 of the hero mechs that weren't called P2W before they came out, and the only reason X5 and Death Knell weren't is because everyone rightly assumed they wouldn't have ECM.

Assuming it does not have arm missiles. Misery.

Don't know if it has only 1 ballistic or not. Potential alternatives are 4x LL 1x UAC5.

Very likely that it will have arm missiles. If not, it will be very inferior to C-Bill Stalkers due to way less SSRM slots.

Maybe Misery has ECM.

not you specifically, but read the comments and it's been mentioned MANY times, and "reading between the lines" is the genesis of almost all the QQ on these forums, as it involves making **** up and guessing instead of actual facts.

the second half of your statement, while still speculation, is interesting. J. Elliot Jamison indeed would make for a worthy Hero to represent the Stalker, and in fact is truly the only "famous" Stalker pilot I can recall, and renaming his mech after a planet that soaked up so much Dragoon blood would indeed be proper.
