Point blank standing in front of it and the guy has some coolant flushes on hand it will murder you.
In the words of Yojimbo from The Replacements "Try scrambling around a bit"

6 large laser Stalker
6 PPC Stalker
.......
The list would be quite long if I were to go on.
Oh wait, that's very annoying stuff too isn't it.
Unfortunately, with the current way to be able to build mechs, and the ability to add in macro's via hardware (eg mice), the only way to get over it would be to have PGI put in software to try and prevent macro's working.
That or remove modifications from the mech bay and leave you to rely on stock configs that are available to you (shock horror, and we can't have that because that's just not derpwarrior online!!)
Players want to kill you in the most expeditious manor possible. That equals high derp builds, commonly known as *cheese builds*.
They care not about whether its still the same machine or not, just that its optimized and uber cool at killing other players.
And so we all suffer and have to put up with it, or find a way to get round it ourselves.
GL GH HF, enjoy the game when and where you can.
And know that there are others out there sharing your pain.

You don't really need a macro to chain dakka actually. If you were whining about Uac5 I could understand, however ac2s?
those takes almost forever to deal damage, and as mentioned, they can't really turn away neither.
Be happy they don't rock your cockpit like an earthquake simulator anymore.

Anyway, macro is a semicheat.

Since it is being questioned, here is how I chain mine, 1 group fire, then 2 others on seperate groups.
Once you fire off the two in single groups, hold down the group fire button and they will go off whenever they finish their cooldown.
With 6 you could either do it with groups of 2s or 1 group fire and 2 chain fire groups.
The problem lies with overheating quickly with 6 ac2s
Again, you do not need macros.

No, it isn't, please don't spread false information.
6xAc2 in macro-chain is just a fun gimick build, you get the exact same dps by group firing the 6 Ac2's as one rapid fire Ac12. Its also so heavy (36 tons of guns, without ammo) and heat intensive(12 heat/second) that your total effective time in combat is small.

Shouldn't complain about the macro, complain about the broke chain fire. The macro is a work around to something thats broke.

Say, lower its recycle rate to 1 shot per second, but in turn make it more heat efficient?

Your right... it's not a semi cheat... its a cheat... If a human being can't fire it that fast then its an augmentation for the 6x ac2 build... which in my book is the same as an augmentation for aiming... which is an aim bot. Cheating.
