I'm hoping the patch notes have some surprises cause I didn't see anything I was interested in from the May Creative Update for 7th.

PGI needs to release more maps...release one every patch using already created props and art and make it generic, can even be plain...then every month or month and a half release a more detailed map.

Also, lots more Pilot Skills to work toward, and push Achievements up (post-launch is too far away) so that we have something to work on to tide us over till CW.

I will just say "meh" to the patch notes. Read and move along nothing to see here. 2 weeks it took to do that? Eh, I'm not a dev so I'm probably just talking outta my butt. However, I am finally starting to feel the bordem setting in.

Well, they're not concentrating all effort into one patch content.
You see, they are developing the new map and who knows what alongside it.

As far as patch notes go... well... not bad, but nothing super-exciting, either.

I actually am looking forward to changing that awful pink on my HM... besides that, much just seems to be fixing stuff, not adding content, and for my cash, fixing it is more important than making more stuff to fix... IMHO

It was 3 weeks...and no new features...boredom has already set in. Why 7 weeks to get a new map? Why not make generic plain maps using existing art and props and release every patch? They can still work on more detailed maps and release those monthly or longer. Why not add a whole lot more Pilot Skills and push Achievements up so we have something to work toward on every match rather than fight dejavu rinse and repeat. I sometimes think I've fought this enemy mech before, facing the same weaponry at exactly the same spot a dozen times before....

....and, how does being able to paint a Hero mech change that at all...

Lots of things that cost MC.

Fixing things they broke in a patch 2-3 patches ago.

And it was a patch that had a longer wait due to the extra week in April.

I'm gonna say pretty weaksauce considering we have at most 9 patches till release.

I just don't think I understand why they couldn't sneak in the MG changes and maybe the BAP changes into this? Just do a little bit more.

u'll need to do quit a lot then. The 7th may patch notes are not worth reading for me... 2 Weeks of work for:

1) allready implemented mech with some new hardpoints
2) allready implemented mech with a little bonus on XP.
3) Oh wait and some useless camo.

I really love this game but this feels like only 5 ppl work on it sorry. The rest is only bugfixing (what should've been done month ago).

If its a Map where JJs give a real advantage for movement aside of Poptarting and Mech-Ballet its welcome to me.
If they make Medium Mechs a tad more Slim that would be nice also - but first as many Bugfixes as possible pls.
I want working HUD and Map and shiny Textures in every single match - Pretty Please ;)

I'd guess by "plain and generic" he meant maps that re-use the assets they have from current maps. The Devs specifically said it takes so long to release a map because they are working on completely different maps to produce a set of assets for every kind of environment.

Last time I checked, we have plenty of maps.

Seriously, its like if we we're valve, and we decided to release a bad game now, instead of releasing an amazing game 2-3 years down the line. Do you really think the majority of players would prefer the bad game? Its like you lack any kind of common sense...
