I see you answered my question, and you know what... I hadn't considered that point at all. Less visibility for potentially controversial ideas can allow for "controlled" opinions about the discussion matter.

I keep looking at all these things in a PR-centric vision and I keep forgetting what the potential "other side" of the argument is... kinda like running a campaign.
