Ive used Gunslinger online since Vengence was released under the tags UMPA, EOFH TR and Ronin. Simply never felt the need to change it as it fits my playing just fine.

Ive used Parrot in a number of games over the years, but it is also my nickname in RL. I even have it tattooed on my back! This nickname comes from a friend of mine who watch me down acouple bottles of parrot bay one night and it just stuck with me. So i am The Parrot love or hate me i dont care. I'll just have me another drink and be happy!

We have a friend with a similar nickname. His name is Paul, but he likes the drink a mix'd drink called "Cactus Juice". Not sure what's in it, but we started calling him Cactus Juice, or just Cactus. He kinda hates it as a nickname so it's funny. :)

Well... Johnathan is my actual first name and McKenna is the big bloodname from my favorite clan.

Similarly, James is my real first name, and Benedict is a blood name of the Not-Named Clan.

I wish i knew more about the rich history of this series to have a name like some of you..but i was glad to be able to use my favorite tag that i use in most armored warfare games. Comes from the movie Patton. There is a scene after a battle with a destroyed M4 Sherman and the tanks name is my tag. Fits my play style too..im not worried about sacraficing my equipment to win a battle.

Walking Raven. Not an Indian name, I promise. It comes from a limmerick I wrote after waking from a dream;

I watched a raven walking by
and thought only to ask him why
He replied "Nothing wrong with me,
I take a stroll, I have to see,
Why it is that men don't fly."

It's just something that I've had rattling around in my skull for years now.

I always wondered if the use of the name Benedict for a blood name belonging to Clan Wolverine was done by the B-tech PTB to parallel another perceived traitor of the American Revolution, Benedict Arnold, since the Wolverines were considered traitors to Kernesky's vision?

Grim's my last name, and a lot of people simply refer to me as that. My personality fits it as well, so it was a natural next step to take it online for my usernames. As for the brother, it's got nothing to do with ye olde fairie tales, although I suppose that's the obvious connection. Stems from a Warhammer 40k group I belong to called Battle Brothers, so it just seemed to fit.

Well Webclaw was the nickname of my uncle, now deceased, who useto play MechWarrior. So I've sort of adopted his nickname to preserve his legacy in some way.

This name is that of the father of the founder of one of the most well-known mercenary units in the entire BattleTech Universe (Grayson Death Carlyle of the Gray Death Legion, in case you didn't know). Unfortunately, the father dies in the very first battle in the first BattleTech book, but you can't win 'em all...

My name is courtesy of an old Strong Bad Email, where I first heard of it.
Datum is the singular of Data, and the joke was the internet had a datum center on account of its terrifyingly-slow speed.
The line "Datum sounds good" is what made me fall in love with the word.

In terms of Battletech/Mechwarrior, I've gone by "Massenmord" and "Catastrophe" (although they always got shortened to "mass" and "cat" or "cata"), although for this time around, I decided to go with a different thing. "Thrask". A variation of "Tharask", which was a vicious vampiric creature from the game Dungeon Siege II. Seems as it'll fit my piloting style quite well.. which I can only characterize as highly aggressive.

Vulpesveritas:
latin
vulpes = fox
veritas = truth, or in truth.

It's the name I've been using for a while now, though my previous internet alias was SCC, originally an acronym for Science Club central, later when I decided on a Role playing character name of Escesee I kept using SCC as an onomatopoeia shortening for it.

Anymore, I just go by Vulpes.

Well there are a few reasons. For one, I'm from Alaska and I'm descended from Norse & Germanic peoples, and I've always been interested in Vikings, so I chose this name when I was making a gamespy account around 10 years ago and just always seemed to stay with it because in practice most people I play with call me either "Alaskan" or "viking" so it's always felt natural to me.

A lot of Europeans think the name sounds strange, or even contradictory, but I've always thought that it makes sense because Alaska has similar wealther to Scandinavia, with a very high percentage of people with Norwegian & German ancestry, a lot of Norwegian fishermen and oil workers. And the people up here tend to just be hard, hearty people in general, and armed to the teeth. Some of our National Guard units have defeated US Army rangers in Arctic warfare exercises.

You can go to Abandonia.com and DL it there and play it if you have a DOS box program. :-) I did that for the original Mechwarrior and Pools of Radiance.

PS: It's legal so no worries :-)

i love you!
