RIP, poptarting.
May you never rise from your grave.

Anyone who ends up missing you should be banished to an eternity in MW4.

You jump a good distance, not float up straight into the air like we see now.

Theres a lot of speed, power, and shakiness that goes into it, but it looks and feels really nice. Mechs can jump into and out of battle and scale terrain quickly and efficiently, and its so shaky you can't fire accurately

So, basicallly, they forced forward movement on jumps?

One would think that all you would have to have done on that scheme is to jump laterally... like the really good jumpsnipers in mw4 did.

Unless, of course, they locked out jumping with your torso twisted, which would be nearly game-breakingly silly.

The JJ changes doesn't remove the ability to poptart. It just makes it so it actually takes more skill than jumping up (with no penalty) till ur gun is just above the ridgeline to fire without any real danger as most enemies dont have time to react.

It's just as effective as it always has been. Only instead of getting just enough height to fire without penalty you actually have to put yourself out there to pull it off. Best trick is to jump to a decent height and fire on the descent when the screen is smooth.

In the end poptarting is not dead. Now it just seperates the good pilots that know how to play and the ones that used the cheese old poptart easy mode to compensate for being bad at the game.

.. and honestly, it shouldn't be totally dead - it should eventually wind up being what it should be - a high risk/high reward desperation tactic.
