Minor correction, even when you're hugging the wall, the missiles come down on you and somehow pass through your head and hit your CT (!)
Other than that I think your comments were fair and reasonable.
I have not had this experience; cover still works fine for me, or seems to.
I died more to Machine Guns last night than I did LRMs :oO:

And I say that from the cockpit of a Spider - it's like spotting for targets is actually a reasonable thing to be doing.

Pretty much this except I died once because I go impatient and did something very stupid. High powered LRM's are the stupid check.
Cover only fails if another enemy is spotting you. Solution is to kill or drive off the spotter.

I hate to burst your bubble, but aiming:
4 PPC's at a target isn't hard
6 ML's at a target isn't hard
6 SRM6's at a target isn't hard
My heart pumps **** for people who think LRM's are easy mode in comparison to the other extremely easy weapon options the game offers.
Agreed, none of those are very hard (well, ERPPCs at 1000m+ is a bit harder), but at least you have to aim and see your target. And none of them go over walls twice as tall as the target.
edit: Also, LRMs hit CT almost 100% of the time without even having to aim.

I think you're confused. You actually have to AIM all those things. And they won't go up and over walls and buildings.
Poptarting is boring ( I haven't taken out my Cataphract since like, February) but LRMs are just so fail when a game should be skill-based it's stomach-turning. When you know there's a handful of players on both teams doing nothing but standing still with their mouths open hitting the left mouse button and having their missiles arc over creation, how can you say this meta is any better?
Insta-convergence PPCs were not very hard, but they at least took 3 brain cells to use correctly. I'm not sure LRM's even take two.

Somehow, I doubt it. This statement hasn't turned out to be the truth in any of the previous three LRM Apocalypse patches, why would this be any different?
Aside from the ahem, "arc," what is buffing LRMs to an I Win button is the incredibly baffling way splash damage is calculated and adversely-to-the-extreme affects the CT. Once the missile mouthbreathers don't get the mad easy kills from coring out an enemy they don't even have to look at, I would bet a good many C-bills that the number of LRMboats will fall dramatically.
Funny, it's kind of like how you see less 3Ds now, eh?

Unless you have Parkinson`s Disease, yes.
I must occasionally have parkinsons, then.
It is not impossible to do, but I would not call holding a Large Laser on the Left Torso of a Raven while it is moving 149kph - for the entire beam duration - "Easy."

hitting a raven moving 149 kph with an LRM is not even possible though. lrms only move 120----mechs move faster than a missile flying through the air--think about that. Why aren't all of those mechs taking off and flying since they move faster than a flying missile? They need to fix arc--that I agree with. and splash. but as an LRM user who does pop up to shoot my own targets---I am actually a visible target longer than ppc or gauss cannon or large laser users. They pop up =shoot-pop down. I have to pop up--shoot---hold on target like 3 seconds--then pop down. The large damage you see from LRMs is only if they get the artemis bonus---you need to have your own lock on to do that--which means more time under the enemy guns.

LRM: 120 meters per second
Raven: 150.2 kilometers per hour = 150200 meters per hour = 41.72 meters per second
Units make a difference.

So how is that worse than the Pre-Patch Meta where Canageroo Assaults carrying 3 to 6 High Alpha Weapons reaping anything apart beyond viewing range?
I don't recall saying it was better. Could you point that part of my statement out?
