I personally feel that hero mechs are overpriced, but would be compelled to purchase and blow out up to 12000 MC specifically for this one, sight and stats unseen.
Assuming the donation to cancer research idea comes into play and is at the very least equivalent to 50% of the "real money" price. Otherwise, my interest plummets rapidly.
I think that clarifies my position.
I would even be ok with it giving no ingame bonuses whatsoever and being nothing more than a ridiculously overpriced standard jenner (with a unique paintjob), because that is what she drove, a standard Jenner that anybody can buy. Not one with special hardpoints or it`s own skill tree.
I would however prefer to see it introduced as a new class of mech, a "Tribute mech", with
permanently locked paint and loadout.
I feel that a proper tribute to something or someone is not supposed to be changed, or "improved", ever. For ex. (to reference guitars) the whole point of a Randy Rhoads "Concorde", Eddie Van Halen "Frankenstein", or similar model guitar is to be as prefectly identical to the original as possible. The point is to think about what you`re paying tribute to when using it.
Those that wish to pay homage but not force themselves into a playstyle they may not enjoy could maybe have the option of purchasing only the paintjob, Allowing for people to decide whether they want to pay 5 $ or 15-20-30-50 dollars for the cause.
I would kind of like to see the paintjob locked to jenners in some way, but on the other hand that kind of defeats the flexibility aspect, as not everyone wants to pilot a light but I think most would like to contribute in some way....
PS: zraven7, with all due respect I am now going to break forum etiquette and steal your signature 1:1. I usually never have signatures in forums.....
PPS: I understand those that see it as "unethical" or a "walking tombstone", and respect their opinion. But I see it as keeping her spirit alive in this game every time somebody drives one and "sacrifices" their own playstyle and identity to do so (hence the loadout and paint lock). I see it more along the lines of interacting with someone`s ghost instead of visiting their grave.
