Hey, I love big stompy mechs far more than is healthy, but MW:O does not belong in a "25 Greatest of all time" list ;. Especially since, as all of the crazies like to claim, MW:O is in "Eternal Beta"™ and therefore is like a quantum particle- we can determine that it is out, but cannot judge how "good" is its.
NO! I waited that sale for 3 months and had to give up and buy more Tuesday to get mechbays for my Blackjacks.
Honestly, at this point it would take a sale to get me to consider getting any MC at all, and even then it would be a situation like that of a alcoholic finally caving and going out to buy a six pack. I know its wrong, that it won't make me happy, that it won't be worth it, but... but...

Okay, off the top of my head, in no particular order
1: Wolfenstein 3d - Groundbreaker
2: Doom - allowed for differences in elevation, albeit in a really primitive fashion, and the Doom games were quite moddable <3.
3: Halo - allowed for humping, and later games allowed you to have proximity voice chat, so I could play as an Elite and every time I killed a Spartan, shout "THE DEMON IS DEAD, I KILLED IT!" or some other quote from the campaign.
4: Far Cry - because it is legendary as a stress test for Graphics cards
5: Half life - it spawned an epic empire which includes the portal franchise, counterstrike, etc.
6: Quake - Mods anyone? Yes please.
7: Goldeneye 64. Just because.
8: Call of Duty - Because the RAGE this will cause will engulf the forums in a sea of flame:
Also, because apparently a lot of people here don't understand what fun is... which sort of makes sense, now that I think about it- why else would they still be here ?
9: The Tom Clancy games (Rainbow Six, GRAW, etc).
10: The "shock" games (Mostly the early ones) like System Shock 2.
11: Do the Mechwarrior games count? Hell, if MW:O fits in that category, these do.
I'm sure if you subdivided those (counting each of the franchise game entries as multiple separate entries, with the number depending on how many of them really contributed to the listing as a whole) you could get 25 out of those alone.
OH and then there was that "bleed them dry" Kesmai stuff that I never got to try (for various reasons on the real life side of things) .
