That was pretty much my reaction as well. I'm not really sure what niche this mech is supposed to be filling. The Assault class is still lacking a solid Ballistic platform.

That said, the art does look pretty badass.

I love to read too deeply into things... B) Anyone else notice that Mechs that fired their shots while rising into the air always missed, but shots fired from the Apex of a jump were accurate? Don't hut me, Paul...

(Actually all but one shot [opponents] miss from the air, she always fires after landing.)

Nice looking 'mech, though I am not really looking forward to Highlander Jrs.

Time will tell how good/bad it is as it is still a long way off.

If three ballistic hardpoint in three separate locations on a mech, all being able to fit an AC/20 isn't a solid ballistic platform to you...

I want my 15 ton Guardian!! Or...like...um...the King Crab, or something.

Seriously, Victor's a good mech and great art, as usual!

I particularly like the "boom" at the muzzle of the gaus rifle... nice touch.

Such a gorgeous mech -- I hope the artwork is displayed in UI2.0 under details of mechs because these pictures are amazing!

Love the idea of the Victor - one of my favourite mechs. I am surprised though.. I thought we would get the Banshee to fill in the assault space at 95 tons!

We have mechs at 20 (Flea incoming), 25,30,35,40,45,50, 60, 65, 70, 75 (Orion incoming), 80 (Not Awesome B) , Victor Incoming), 85, 90, 100... So mech weights not filled are: 55 tons and 95 tons.

Did I mention how much I love the artwork?

Triple AC/20, here we go! B)

Though the illustration confuses me a bit, the arms look fully actuated, but that doesn't normally work with the AC/20. But the illustration is often misleading in Battletech...

Hmm, triple AC/20 Victor can't have endo-steel upgrade (one crit slot left for ammo) or XL engine. He is going to be nightmarishly slow with an engine not much better than STD200. JJs are out of question.

The Victor, is, always, and will be one of the better looking mechs in the Mechwarrior Universe. Its a giant, flying Centurion, people should love it.

It's probably going to feature a higher engine cap than most of the awesomes though. Sarna puts stick engine at a 320 standard.

Not that much of a long way. The only mech to be released between now and the Victor is the Orion.

Victor was a 4/6/4 mech so it was as fast as the Pult. So es faster than a Awesome.

WARNING – INCOMING MISSILES
“Captain you have massive incoming LRMs, can you make it?”
“I’ll be fine,” she says, smiling down at her Victor after landing behind cover “We do this all the time.”

Haha well a couple days ago those would have all hit B)

Very nice design. I have never been fond of the Victor but this redesign like all the others is stunning. Nicely done!
