Nice story. It's amazing what that Victor can accomplish when it's up against the worst two long range alpha strikers in MWO history.

Like the mech though. Design is very cool.

smaller highlander looking like bigger mando - meh. Mauler - now that would make me excited.

i don't know if anyone has said it before...but this victor looks like a centurion on steroids!

very awesome redesign - like the "newish" look to this mech...
but i'm kinda underwhelmed by the choice...would have enjoyed a non-humanoid assault or a zeus

I don't know why everyone is calling it worse then the Highlander... the way I see it, it's going to go faster overall, whilst probably packing equivalent firepower as many Highlander builds, have the armour to close to use it and Jumpjets for mobility. To top it off it looks like a Centurion in terms of hitboxes, and if that is the case this thing will zombie well UNLIKE the Highlander which is cored more often then it's dis-armed.

Alongside the Orion, this mech might just become my personal command ride!

From a lore standpoint, I'm liking the fact that aside from the Dragon,Raven and Highlander pretty much all of the other designs are in use in any of the Great houses. As opposed to say a Mauler, Hatamoto Chi for instance.

One more thing guys, please please please spend more time on polishing new mechs before launching them. Polishing as in better texture/model quality, better animation in walking etc. From my observation while the Highlander is a good model, it's animation is quite clunky unlike the first few released battlemechs named Atlas and the others.. Cheers

Not to mention that there will most likely be at least 1 variant with multiple ballistic locations.
Double 20 is possible, but double AC/10 or double AC/5 with some arm largelas and some torso mounted weaponry...Starting to sound pretty scary for something that can push 80kph before speed tweak.

Personally I'll probably end up going with a std 325 or 350 in it, AC/10 or AC/5 for weight, and some large energy weapons.

Given the lack of lack of tonnage based lobby restrictions, the in coming Orion, the Highlander this is pretty useless around that weight point.

Definately lovely art work tho.

Can you do a triple Gauss build for Victor?

Looking good here. Please don't make the hero mech hardpoints as hard to work with as the Pretty Baby's. :D

Outstanding. Jumpjets or not it's a 64 kph assault even with a stock or std engine.

actually something I'm willing to pilot.

Poptarting isn't going to be such a big deal after they add Jump jet shake, and add the heat penalties for firing to many boated weps at once.

GREAT MECH CHOICE PGI!

ALL DAVIONS SHOULD BE HAPPY! We have our "Flag mech" in the game! *does a jig* Now i have to play like a madmen to get the BJ's, and the Highlanders until this puppy arrives! :D

The unit, from the emblem on the Right Leg, seems to be the Davion Heavy Guards RCT (with the emblem as depicted in this post by Hayden).

Good spot, at first i would say 1st Davion Guards but the stripe is at the center, the Heavy Davion Guards is at the left position. Good call dear Sir!

I'm sad that it's not Zeus (my #1 favourite mech ever, just in front of the Blood Asp and, following that, the Catapult). I'm annoyed that it's not Banshee, which fills in a weight role. I'm annoyed you haven't replaced Raven with a less-cursed mech. But, above all, I love that concept artwork more than you realise.

Wish is was a King Crab.

Tired of seeing all these traditional humanoid mech designs, the king Crab would have been a fun profile to see in the game. Now all we're getting is a highlander look alike.

Cool looking mech, although I generally prefer less humanoid designs.
I might like to give it a try, haven't really used any jump-capable mechs so far.

Iconic is a subjective thing.

If they move the leg MGs to their respective torsos (like they did with the Cicada), them YES.
Of course, the mech ain't very big, so it would require a lot of sacrifices (speed, armor, no jump jets...).

I always like fighting Victors. Blow the arms off and they're as good as helpless.

Also, great redesign on the artwork, as usual, but who the hell wrote that supporting fiction? That was awful... tense-shifting and sentence fragments everywhere.
