I say this cuz roughly 98% of AWS users suck with it.

It's clearly the worst assault, it's no wonder a lot of people are bad with it. the 8R was just a huge PITA when I had it, switched to an Atlas and instantly did about twice as good.

On another flipnote, the lack of Ballistic weapons means that the Awesome is insanely dependent on missiles and energy weapons. Since it's so heat-dependant, giving it better methods to dissipate heat, or some better heat sink management would help give it better firepower for an Assault Class. Also - what the hell is with the hunchback getting more energy slots than the Awesome, or the Stalker being the primary PPC boat? I thought that was the Awesome's role, not the Stalker's role! D:<
Finally, if they don't plan on doing anything to it, then at least give it some better engines. The 8 Variant's max speed is around 60kph, while the 9 Variant is 85kph with speed tweak. Compared to other Assaults...the Awesome is simply outgunned, outarmored, and outclassed in weapons. With the new Victor Mech coming out soon, I fear that the Awesome might be largely abandoned by the community instead of being proprerly developed to become the fearsome Assault class it should be -- either in Tabletop or in Lore.

Maybe give it extra Module Slots. Personally I think, unless we ever get weight class matching and weight matching in the match-maker, the lower weight variants of each weight class need some extra perks like module slots to make them competitive.
Give it an extra +10 % heat dissipation and heat capacity, or a 15 % heat reduction on all weapons.
Give it ECM.

I think it'd be a great way to push classic roles, without stiffing creativity and it could apply to a lot of 'mechs. Slight buffs to, say, lock time on a Catapult or Ballistic Velocity on the Jaggermech.. maybe even recycles on specific weapons, like buffing the AC/20 on the original Hunchback nobody uses now. You could even expand this beyond guns - say, make the Raven ECM have 10% more range.
Just make some chassis & variant 5-10% better at a specific weapons or equipment and you make a huge impact to how people will play those variants, without actually forcing huge sweeping changes to anything.

For all your complaining, the Awesome is pretty much run as a massive PPC boat with a better engine in it. Mechlab is not the problem.
Though, I will admit, the Awesome 9M is effectively a Charger wearing an Awesome's skin.
It is unfortunate that this basically means the Awesome's niche in MW:O is the "Fast assault" and not the supreme PPC sniper. Quirks really are the cure, though.

I've never thought that the Awesome's greatest strength was in it's heavy energy payload, but in the fact that it is an assault that moves like a medium. Or at least, it should.
