AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad Core with unlocked clock speed for possible overclock!
EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 Ti 2 GB!
700W OCZ PSU! (Unknown age)
Plus 2 500GB SATA HHD (one seagate unknown specs, 1 2.5" whatever's in my Laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium and FSX, MWO and other games I would like to play already installed)
Antec P180 Case with 2 Year old 550W Thermaltake PSU (Could sell PSU for spare $ and just use the Case)

I would be happy playing MWO on low settings with 30FPS as long as it's smooth, not choppy/laggy or missing textures like frozen city sometimes!

That's not a bad lil system to get into 1080P gaming with........I started with less......Phenom 2 555BE@4.21ghz (took me months to stabilize) asrock 880gm-le and radeon 4350 1gb low profile........gah! as long as you buy a decent board, with digi vrm and 4+1 phase power, you should be able to OC to past 4ghz easy with cooler master hyper 212+ without it breaking a sweat.

That AMD fx-4100 just isn't very good for the Crytek engine / MWO.

hmm, I'm leaning towards the MSI 970A-G46 Mobo, what do you guy's think? http://www.canadacom...&item_id=046001
according to this review, it should be OK I think: http://forum.overclo...ead.php?t=52135
also, As far as I know, it's SLI Ready if I do decide to do SLI down the Road, I won't have to upgrade the Mobo just for SLI., I also think the GTX 560 Ti 2GB would be mighty fine for Gaming, if I do decide to SLI down the road, what would be good and compatible Card with it?

also, go to Youtube and type in FX-4100 GTX 560 Ti

You'd have to pair another 560ti with it, that is your only option.

Here is a fair entry level gaming build from newegg:
$26.99 - Rosewill FBM-01 Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
$49.99 - Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply
$38.49 - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
$74.99 - AMD A6-5400K Trinity 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 65W Dual-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon ...
$99.99 - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM
$19.99 - ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM
$29.99 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3160318AS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
$61.99 - ASRock FM2A55M-DGS FM2 AMD *** (Hudson D2) Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
-------------
$402.42 total cost minus shipping
-------------
-------------
If you already have an operating system, you can subtract $99.99 and it is then within your budget. Don't forget to use the $2 off code for the case. The hard drive is refurb so do a full hard drive scan with seatools when you get it.

The only thing off I can see about this is the fact that he could not without AM3+, a year or two down the road, grab 8 core fx, and a massive beefy GPU like titan, or gtx770........OC that piledriver into crazy clock speeds with liquid, at least grab something future able, rather than shutting yourself into APU socket.........theyre not aweful just limiting..........in some senses.

Hmm, too bad there is no Newegg store local to me (<-----Sarcasm)
in any case, what do you guy think would be better that build or the one I was planning before?
I do plan on sticking with the FX-4100 though cause it would be better then the A6-5400K when you consider the Dedicated GPU i'm thinking of (EVGA GTX 560 Ti) and with that I would need a AM3+ Mobo, not a FM2. I can get a OCZ 700W PSU and 8 GB of Kingston HyperX 1600MB Ram and a Seagate 500GB HDD For less then Half the Total price of the Thermaltake 430W PSU, 4 GB of G. Skill 1600MB Ram and 160 GB HDD Listed. and I can get a Antec P180 Case with a 2 Year Old Thermaltake 550W PSU that I could possibly sell to make most, if not all of the money for the case back. if I cant get window's 7 Home Premium to work from my Laptop HDD, then I may also have to buy that, although someone on another forum said I can possibly just get a .ISO of Windows 7 and use the Code from my Laptop to activate it or something.

so overall, what would work best for me? (For the love of god don't say save more money)

fx4100+CM hyper 212+ and fan and ceramic thermal paste,usb3.0 AM3+ MOBO,8gb ddr3 1600mhz, Seagate 500gb,antec case with 550W thermaltake PSU should handle things just fine...........GTX560Ti 2GB, This machine would play you a good few games, even before you decide to OC the CPU to 4 ghz at stock voltage. And think of the years of upgrades available to this build. SSD, 8***series fx,liquid cooling, etc.

I think you're good. However, your windows 7 copy is most likely set to only work for the motherboard in the laptop. There are ways around this issue but I don't believe forum policy allows one discuss them.

Yeah I had this issue when I ghosted Win7 64bit from ata HDD to SATA HDD for a friend, but being savvy in the registry editor helps some......:P

At least u know for sure when you build this that the majority of DX11 games will play on it..........ones that struggle will simply need a mild CPU overclock(4-4.2ghz).Ive also played MWO on all 3 chips stock and OC on air cooler, All chips did just fine outta the box. I tell you for sure the bulldozer chip loves a healthy OC. doesn't matter 4threads or 8 they really start to pull after 4.5ghz...........Ive had 4100,8120,8350 all on liquid cooling......all on the same board............... ;) now I know I wont need more than a 4.5ghz 8core 8350.............enough juice to feed a Titan or two :D

well I know for sure I will have to use the $297 I have saved up for summer vacation now so it would just be whatever spare money I could get from selling stuff to go towards parts slowly (the GTX 560 Ti is most expensive, that would likely be last, and if I can get everything else, I can maybe use integrated graphics to play some older/lower end games till I can get the 560Ti), Plus my Brother says he takes responsibility for breaking the laptop and he'll replace it, just not right now, and he never said when.
Edit: just signed up for online banking with the bank i'm with (CIBC), I have a GIC that I started June 2nd 2008, I thought it was a 10 year GIC that would be till 2018, but according to online banking, it's a 5 Year GIC so it matures June 2nd 2013 (a month minus a day from today)

Truly you need a Gtx card. All models are better than their Gt cousins. The Gtx 460ti is a good entry level gpu for games like MWO.

I suggest waiting until you can spend money on.
i5 at least If not an i7.
750w PSU
Gtx 460ti don't forget you can sli three of these later if you so chose.

Ram is Ram
A case is a case. If your board fits.
If you get a hard disk you should get an SSD.

An i7 for what? MWO? An i5 is perfect for gaming....the only time you'd need an i7 is if you're doing a lot of video or 3D editing. Ram is Ram? A case is a case? How many builds have you done......every single statement you made there was WRONG. /smh

I really wish people wouldn't pretend to know what they're talking about, when they clearly haven't a clue.

Or when people say Oh a Brand new CPU architecture isn't good enough to run MWO(Vishera), LMAO, fanboism is a scary thing. any of the last 3 architectures from both the companies in last 2-3 years will run you the majority of new games with proper GPU of course.

I had an 8350. Was a good processor. But....the build was done, and I was done playin with it, so I sold it and bought a i7 3770k. I wouldn't go so far back as 3.....I have a BE555 and a 6770 that doesn't like MWO at all. Just sayin....

Hmm, tempted to get the Mobo this week or weekend if I could, Mobo on sale now, $5 instant rebate for the weekly sale, so would be $80+ Tax, not $85 like normal

Edit: gigabyte ga-970a-d3 is the cheapest of the AM3+ Socket SATA 3 6GB/s Mobos for the week, $15 Instant rebate till the 10th and the $10 MIR till the end of the month makes it $70+Tax, $10 lower then the MSI, though the MSI Supports SLI, while the Gigabyte only supports Crossfire, not SLI.

yes my phenom X2 555BE that wouldn't unlock had troubles with MWO but I fixed that by hitting 4.21ghz stable which made it playable until PG* did whatever it was to DX11

I would go with the Gigabyte MOB myself. I think All MOB that have 2 or mor PCI slots will support SLI

MW:O just eats your system alive .... in comparison to mostly any other game, it always gets lower FPS .... just saying
and plz stop telling Letto he needs an i7, it's just ridiculous, in many ways. Thanks ;)

Gigabyte, to me, is known as a good brand. Everything you need is build in the mobo, even SLI. If you can afford it, take it.
