I can upload the match where I take a Highlander head to head, or Awesome, or any number of ones head to head.
He had a ER PPC, ER Large, and a x2 AC5's hardly Fo Shame.
I suppose coring the highlander and killing the Hunchback was luck on my part too.
9 tons of armor is hardly paper thin, she's a lot tougher than most people give her credit.
1v1 if I can choose where the engagement happens and what range, i'll back this mech against anything out there because....
......I prefer to make my own luck. =)
Agreed, Mr Carrion.
I have found the 2 I have so far to be very effective, even considering my "borrowed" low end Mexico Wifi (coming through 2 concrete walls) and badly overheating laptop (apparently it has to work a lot harder at my current place than when I used it at the local Starbucks, mebbe due to the wifi strength?). And I have taken on Cataphracts and Awesomes toe to toe, well OK< dancing around their toes, using either my JJs or my 1X's high speed to run circles around them, juke and generally minimize hits.
Where it has gone poorly has been when one of his teammates come to help, then the thin armor does tend to rear it's head, but a Hunch or Centy ain't gonna last any longer, so whatever!

As much as I like my Hunchback Swayback (9MLasers), I have seen a similar setup in a Blackjack. I am curious if the Blackjack does this better (because of the ultra vulnerable right torso on the Hunch). If the Blackjack has similar speed and armor, I can think of 1 configuration the Blackjack does better then the Hunch. Pains me to say, because I do like the Hunchback.
THe BJ does it WAY better. In part because the small side torsos protect XLs real nice, so I can cruise about 108 or so in mine using a 280XL, with 8 Medium Lasers. Sure, like the 4P you can overheat it easy if you get too aggressive, but I have only shutdown a handful of times, tbh, But that extra speed over the Hunch, and spread weapons? Priceless.
