yeah ok energy in the hands is nifty but this is essentially the same as the -S but with 2 energy shoved into the arms.

Firepower wise you can do this same setup on the -S.

..and in any case, the DD still outperforms it when equipping 5 AC2s and 2 med lasers.

2ppc+2ac2+2 med laser = 20+8 (one second of firing)+10.. so 38dmg in one second with a very high heat footprint.
5AC2 with 2 med laser = 20 (one second of firing)+10 .. so 30 dmg in one second with a minimal heat footprint.


[sigh] It's more fun being exited about things, I promise. Also, ghetto Rifleman is just what the Dr. ordered.

I like the cut of your jib there.

If I were to live by that analogy, I would rather be a live coward than a dead brave... person.

Maybe bravery should equate to the amount of firepower you can bring to bear whilst remaining in cover? We can make raw figures!

For example: If a Yagerbomb has to expose 20% of it's mass to enemy fire to be able to use 100% of it's weaponry, then it is 100% brave. The intelligence rating of the pilot then decreases linearly depending on how much excess mass is exposed: At 20% exposed, they are 100% brave, and 100% smart. At 60% exposed, they are 100% brave, yet only 50% smart.

If an Atlas on the other hand exposes 40% of it's mass, yet can only fire 10% of it's weapons, then it is only 10% brave. That's 90% coward. Those are big numbers.

These figures should totally be displayed on your HUD, relative to whoever you have targeted. Betty could even have soundbytes for it. "Warning: stupid level, critical"

Wait - that would mean that poptarts are 100% brave as they bounce merrily across the landscape. If they expose 100% of their mass though, it makes them 100% stupid.

I don't always strip the armour from my mech, but when I do, I cram in 4 UAC5s.

if i think how popular jagermechs still are, i think they could make good money with this.

If it's 4875MC (75/ton) that thing would cost 19.50$ (if 250mc=1$).

I think i'll buy one, looks fantastic.

I like the sound of it and also hero mechs in general due to the +30% CBills.

However, I have a feeling it's going to be around the $25 mark, which like the Misery, makes it too expensive a proposition. I mean, that's half what I paid for the entire game of Bioshock Infinite. (My X-5 by contrast was worth the investment.)

While I'm probably a whale in terms of spending capacity and love of MechWarrior, I won't support crazy pricing.

None of the above is meant to be a complaint. Just explaining why, even though I like the look of the Mech and its loadout, I probably wont get one.

Looks nice.

I am disappointed though.

So, after a typically PPC + ballistic Assault Heavy Metal, we got typically PPC + ballistic Assault Misery, we now get a PPC + Ballistic Heavy Firebrand. A fast Hero mech would've been a nice change, since there's only X-5 so far.

Also, if I recall correctly, PGI announced that the next 2 mechs after Heavy Metal would be based on existing variants, after which they'll consider another go at the Hero before Standard variants, which could mean that the next Hero after this one will be based on the Victor, which is another Assault with likely PPCs and ballistics.

Boring.

Every Hero till today was priced after tonnage, 75mc per ton. I doubt they'll change that. It should be right between fang/flame and the ilya.

The range of the prices is a fair and even scale at 75MC per ton.

You could buy one 100ton hero atlas for 7500MC or you could buy five 20ton hero fleas for 1500MC each. Every mc package other than the 7USD one will let you buy at least one hero mech once they are all released.

I'm kind of annoyed with this mech...I bought the Jager DD even though it is in inferior to the other Jagers because I thought the next hero would be a light.

I don't like the course of PGI. ******* 4th heavy hero. We also have 3 hero assaults. Give mediums and lights some love already.

I want Hero Flea - disregard weapons, add Jump Jets and ECM to MASC!

I don't see any pressing reason to buy this until perhaps it goes on sale in the future. Founder's cash is now exhausted so when these things start requiring new paypal injections, I take a harder critical look at them.

Its loadout can already be done by Jager S, and arguably better by the Catapult K2 with its protected side torsos.

Would've preferred a 12 ballistic hardpoint Jager to load up with machine guns ala the Piranha.

I would guess that popularity plays in to what chassis get a hero and in what order. But seeing as it now stands at

Light 1
Medium:2
Heavy:4(3)
Assault: 3

it stands to reason that the next hero will be a light. And since the Jenner is most likley on the bottom of the list and the raven does not have much you can do with it.. I'd wager a spider. So people.. chill the frak out

Had no desire to get the misery but I'm tempted with this, damnit I've been good with my budget up till now.
