So, there's the announcement on the splash page about the June Hero 'Mech, Firebrand.

Looks like its going to have 2 ER PPC/PPC, 2 AC/2, and 2 Medium Lasers/Pulse Lasers.

Any thoughts?

Yay! Could make a rifleman loadout out of that bad boy really easily.

Let me be the first to say "Thank you"

Now: Is it cheese if you use PPCs instead of large lasers?

Very, very nice. The Yagermech's arm height and energy mounts will probably make this the first hero I purchase.

Hmmmmmm.

The Heavy Metal and Misery could not get me to pull out my credit card, but I like this look of this one. Gauss + PPC on the same arm sounds good to me.

it looks amazing.

they are getting better at texturing these mechs.

1. The flame decals seem to be using a gradient. Melting of black(user selected color)/orange(user selected color).. i hope to see camos using gradients soon. So this is possible
Spoiler

2. The light reflects off the painted word "FROM" in a very realistic way, while not reflecting off the more dull, black backdrop on the right torso.
you don't see that with older mechs, where the paint and the other parts of the mech are treated like the same material.
Spoiler

seems like they are using some kind of new technique. i hope they update older skins/mechs with it.

Behold, the new ultimate alpha-snipe weenie.

Nice detailing though.

Not enough tonnage to make it much better than what you can already do with a Jäger.

This jagermech is like any other jagermech honestly.

The arm laser does not really make a difference because it doesn't have arm actuators.

*laughs maniacally*

I have been saving my MC and a special empty MechBay specifically for a Hero Jager!!! I have the 6A and S, but I didn't get the DD because I wanted to fill my JagerSquad with the Hero.. but I thought it would be months away still! Yippie!

Bonus: I'll also get a 65ton Rifleman ;-)

Bleh, after I finally spent all that money buying that ultra-expensive DD...

It had better have superior handling...

I can see 2 energy on the torso, 2 on the arms and 2 ballistics on the arms. Where are the other 2 hardpoints? In any case, because it doesn't have the usual arm actuators, it means you can theoretically put an ERPPC and a Gauss Rifle in each arm...

curse them to the depths of the 9th plane of hades.

NOw I have to buy another Hero.

I was so waiting for a Victor Hero.

Back to driving my Jager it will be.

And is it just me, or does the stock armament actually sound pretty effective for a change?

I'm actually kind of thankful it was a Jager hero. I genuinely expected them to release a hero Orion variant before the c-bill version like they did with the Heavy Metal. If that had happened, I would have had no choice but to make make an expenditure which, at this juncture, I cannot afford!

Whew, they just saved me 27 dollars!
