I like either super fast, annoyers (even though weak offensively) lights ala Locust/Spider (the Commando is "too slow" for me), or non sluggish, heavily armored, and dangerous enough Heavies such as the Catapult and Marauder.

I'll focus on medium/heavy, probably leaning towards heavy unless Uziel comes out anytime soon (which is probably not the case).

I love the medium / heavy mechs, but I almost always use my beloved Centurion. The speed and the varity of weapons are nice and I somewhat like the Centurions look, witht he shield, THOUGH I tend to like non-humanoid mech better. So if a medium non-humanoid mech comes along, I'll be in it and hopefully like it.

IF... If Fafnir comes into play some day, I will certainly try it out, since I love the looks of that beast! Probably one of my favourite mechs, on pure looks.

You can probably find a fit for any mech to suit a style you enjoy. I was doing pure medium runs, but tonight I took an experimental Awesome fit out for a spin and really enjoyed the feel of it.

I favor either medium 'mechs outfitted as headhunters, bringing pain to those foolish enough to ride around in an assault 'mech, or in a heavy geared out for direct fire support. Since my ideal 'mech is not currently available, and my preferred alternate has not been announced, and does not seem like it will be in the near future, then expect to see me in a Jagermech or Centurion, which will make for passable substitutes.

I only ran mediums and lights or assaults in MW3 - which was born of the situation because it was harder to leg a smaller mech than a larger one, and legging was pretty much the surefire way to kill in MW3 because there was no such thing as not lag shooting unless you were on an IPX or LAN game.

In this game though, seeing as its not the 90s anymore, lag isn't particularly an issue. So I don't feel unsafe piloting an assault mech (other than feeling in danger from missile spam.)

....theoretically, were I to know what playing the game felt like.

@Kael. In most situations you aren't going to take out an assault in a medium, outside of MW4, which is utterly broken. I've hit people 32 times in the every-torso with PPCs in MW4 and not killed them - so I don't care what anyone says, that game is broken and terrible. No mech survives 32 PPC hits in the same location. That would destroy a Leopard Dropship, don't talk to me about it being possible for a mech to survive it.

So don't get too excited yet. It's not impossible - if you get an Atlas away from the pack you can murder that mech, so long as you use your mobility correctly. It's not like "Ima go kill Atlases!" though.

I tend to gravitate towards heavy mechs, but purposely under loading them to get a bit more speed. If I can do that in MW:O you'll see me doing that a lot.

I lean more toward heavy mechs... good armor and firepower but faster than the assaults.

Normally I hate Assault mechs and iI lean twards heavies and mediums but the Supernova with 6 ppc's is an exception (and yes you can get that stable).


On a side note Assassin ll with 3 heavy rocket launchers ftw.
