Before them were the Upcoming Content/Upcoming Features Threads. The CDU was supposed to replace them.

I think from this point, we should either leave this thread specifically for discussing the points brought up in the June Director's Update. If you want to ask the Staff about a July Update, then you might want to post a question in the Website and Forum section .

From this point, let's please try to use this thread for the June Update, and not for the July Update. Thanks everyone.

This is outdated info. They already said that it needs to get to some testserver first to be tested. Expect it for the first August patch at the earliest.

Sry, but why is 12vs.12 other than 8v8? For them 2 buttons to push to change that. Instead of 2 lances 3 will spawn. What is so difficult about that?

It's strictly bandwidth and latency.

If you haven't noticed the poor hitreg and your overall bandwidth getting out of whack the last couple of weeks or months, the netcode has to improve to reduce the overall load on the servers PGI uses. If you haven't noticed increased ping either... I don't know what else to tell you. The problem is... it's not in a good state.

I don't think this is entirely PGI's fault. The edge router on the ISP side of their datacenter is saturated at the moment and is causing random packet loss to the server farm.They are most likely waiting till the ISP gets a cranial [REDACTED] inversion reversal procedure to release 12 V 12.

really? [REDACTED] is filtered? You people need to sort out your priorities.

I wouldn't say it's entirely their fault, but they need to find a way to address that (although, these things do take time).

Just remember that the bandwidth requirements of going from 8v8 to 12v12 is a minimum of 50% increase (16 players -> 24 players) not factoring in other potential overhead... so you would seriously have to reduce the load by at least 33% to even compensate.

My guess is they are going to abandon the Monthly creative updates and just provide a general "Roadmap to Launch" update in one big go.

Either that or they really aren't sure what's going to make it into July and want to be sure before screwing the pooch yet again.

That sounds like the case as well. They didn't say much at all in the last ATD. My guess is that they're just planning a gigantic dump of feature information for the very near future and see no real need for a July CU.

I can't really say I care if they do come out with the CDU. While it'll be nice, it's been half useless since they implemented it, with the first patch of the month coming out before the CDU did. I'd much rather have the old Road-maps, but I understand why they probably are avoiding that. What with all the QQ'ing that use to happen if they should fail a deadline, from all those uber programmers, that no doubt could easily make this game.

I would much prefer to see the promised CC post on CW, along with others on the Training Grounds, 3PV, etc.
