I don't know what post you think you're replying to, but there was no question asked about WHY there is JJ shake. Everybody already knows it was done for "balancing" reasons and not "immersion."I'm saying that they tipped the scales too much and it's lopsided. Introducing Movement shake would not only be consistent with introducing this change, but also bring that balancing see-saw closer to the centre.

How would nerfing fast moving light mechs and mediums improve the balance?

This doesn't solve pop tarting (the main reason this "fix" was implemented)

This doesn't stop that ( simply fire after you jj while dropping) bit it severely gimps brawlers.

I've spent tonnage on my bonus manuverability. I don't see what this artifical gimp brings to the game.

It solves 90% of the poptart issues that had nothing to do with that style of play per sey. I couldn't care less if you want to poptart, but skill never made them effective, a bug in the game made them effective. Most people that were really fantastic with a poptart knows it too. The problem with pop tarts was never the style of play it is because your poptart will take hardly any damage with direct hits while you are moving up. So now a poptart instead of JJing up just enough to make a shot, to have any accuracy at all you now will have to expose yourself even more to get off a clean shot. That's why you do not see hardly any now.

To be fair to you, I wasn't replying to you with that part, I just tacked it on to the end of an existing thread. (even thought I quoted you earlier in that post on another topic).

Even in this thread there have been one or two posts making the argument that shake shouldn't affect mechs, or that it's "unrealistic", or whatever - Even the opening premise of this thread is making the point that if there's JJ shake then logic dictates that there must be movement shake - As if realism & logic has any place in a game.
(you may as well argue a Bishop should move laterally because he has LoS or a Rook diagonally because it's the same weight as the Bish')

That's what I was replying to.
