Last 2 weeks have had some no damage bug type issues, so this is probably the real issue you are experiencing. Supposedly they got a fix coming for us tuesday.

What are your main issues with the current state of the game compared to 2 weeks ago? I haven't been able to play much lately but I've always done ok just pugging. Sure some games are lopsided and I think there should be some mm/elo modifications for groups but none of that has changed recently has it?

I couldn't play this week due to hardware issues totaly unrelated to MWO, but last week I was having more fun then the months before, I realy liked last patch. And i never do anything but puging ( and crying for voice com so that those pugs can be be a bit more organized)

I was actually about to start a thread about how I tend to lose most matches, despite doing a lot of damage and getting kills. So I started taking screenshots of scoreboards after each match, to gather evidence. When I compiled all the screenshots, it turns out that I'm actually winning more than losing. I just tend to remember the losses better, so it feels like I'm losing all the time.

Problem solved.

With science.

Seems like a legit Game Balance thread.

To say, I have the greatest weak of playing. I have never seen 90%ish of fair matches. By fair I mean 4+ kills done by losing team at the end of match. To say that I'm happy is to say just nothing ;)

Started playing on this account again exactly 2 weeks ago. Just checked my stats, after 575 matches, all pug, I am 287 wins vs. 287 loses. I am not sure what happened on the one missing game but puggin is perfectly fine for me. Also apparently Elo works on pugs as well.

Did you have a tied match somewhere?

Not that I remember, but I did probably have 40-50 disconnects(malformed packets issue) might have had a tie in there.

Last time I had a tie (actually two ties in a raw) it counted as a lose.

I PUG quite a bit, and I know my Elo is better than average. Sometimes, you'll get a demoralizing string of losses, but otherwise it's not that bad. Instead of doing what you want to do and hoping everyone else performs competently, you should try being a PUG's wingman.

PUG rounds end up going a lot better when I bring a little teamwork to the table. See someone in trouble? Walk between him and his opponent to give him a quick breather. Shoot someone in the back to force them to turn around. When you're the guy that makes every one-on-one fight a two-on-one fight, you're typically the deciding factor in the battle.

I only PUG, and the notable only difference I've seen after the jump-snipers largely vanished was an increase in lights with the Challenge.

With the Challenge ended, I expect people will return to hating captures instead of rushing matches.

I must admit, the OP has a very good point ... he makes a very convincing argument citing a myraid of issues as well as giving some very constructive suggestions.

Oh Wait ... he didn't actually say anything useful at all.

Solo Pug dropping is fine ... I do a good mix of competitive 8's, practice 8, clan 4's, as well as solo pugs.

I don't see any issue with solo pugging ... except maybe that I can get a 750+ score on a new un-basic'd daka-daka-muromets ... right after a 675+ game on the same chassis. Not sure how puggies can be so bad as to allow me to run around with an XL engine and not kill me.

Oh Wait ... you were in those games on the other side weren't you?

Nuff Said ... move along ... nothing to see here.
