Three matches in and no change on ping spike problems. I'll still see my actual ping (~650, satellite 10/2) for a couple of seconds at drop and then it spikes and holds ~1600. HSR does seem a little bit better, but my damage totals are still horrible compared to May and before that it doesn't matter that much. I look forward to playing the game again soon, or at least by September. :ph34r:

My ping still stays the same, but my Cicada is now getting creamed left and right.
That must what have been lagshield felt like to the Raven.

Pings always been pretty good for me but so far iv not had anymore shots go through enemies like before.

Only running dual large lasers. No alphas here bub. Still seems like my heat build up is way faster than before.

While I fully support hit detection being perfect, it looks like this is going to be a big accidental nerf to lights...again...

Lights have not been buffed in months and months, but their effectiveness has steadily waned because they were balanced in a lagshield, non-HSR, bad hit-detection time. Most of what made lights good back then was the fact that they were hard to hit due to in-game issues. Now that these in-game issues are disappearing, lights are getting worse and worse and worse. There need to be corresponding buffs to lights to keep them competitive now that the network/hit detection issues have been (rightfully) fixed.

Nothing seems to have changed for me in any way for the last 2-3 patches. No change in ping, still hovering around 150-160, which isn't too bad.. but I have a damn 100/10 lightfiber now, and that didn't change a thing either. And my shots are still randomly going through mechs pretty much as often as before...

just played for half an hour, still getting misses on clear hits and random damage without indicators, or getting hit effects on me with no damage taken.

ping starts at about 50-70 ish range, then spikes to a stable 150-170.

only seem to get non-register hits with high burst ballistics like ERPPC's and AC20.

I run a BJ-1DC frequently with an AC-20 ERPPC combo and if I hit with one I am likely to miss with the other (non-register hit) and if the first hit doesn't register, then the next will not also. doing a fresh install of the game, seeing what happens (for arguments sake).

I'm getting warping with this patch - just started today, played many hours Mon/Tues with no warping, but terrible hit detection.

Now, every 2-3 seconds, I warp forward or back 2-3 meters seems like - there's almost a rhythm to it, but it's well nigh impossible to use lights at high speeds, or to line up shots while travelling :ph34r:

Anyone else getting this?

Disagree, A 4 million dollar lite should not be as effective as a 15 million dollar mech. next to impossible to hit with an assault if driven by a good pilot it was common for lites to easily take down assaults without taking minimal splash damage. Just doesn't make sense. I ground my butt off to get the cash to move up in class only to find it was pointless in this area. A good light pilot is still deadly to a slow moving mech. They should not be equal.

Hit detect is still borked for me at a stable 230 ping. point blank ac20 shots splash shows red glow on the hit area, no damage taken
