I mean hell, they bombed their own capital city to dust to show the Davions not to mess with them - that's the sort of thing goons would do (although we'd doubtless make sure the bombs left the pattern of a massive dong on the planet's surface).

It was more a deaperate fact to save the whole nation by sacrificing volunteers, but well...

friendly fire griefing is not at all goon style. That'd be more 4chan or /b/ specifically.

Confirming that you are either a liar or have never played EVE.

Yes, but the only way it was going to pay off was by the Davions going "Whoa, they're willing to glass their capital to kill just SOME of our troops? What the hell ELSE are they going to do if we don't back off?"

The plan wasn't to save the nation by killing them all, but by scaring the hell out of the

i hate to say it goon swarm but you have turned yourselves into a infamous group of gamers that the majority of the gaming world does not want around.

Not a Goon here, though I used to read the SA page a decade ago. Man, the Leonard Crabs stuff was priceless. Anyway, while not a Goon, I'm a gamer. Frankly I just don't put effort into caring what they do. I'm not sure if you speak for the "majority".

GL MWO if the Goons are coming then the game may not do as well as you or i hoped

On the other hand, it may do better. Influx of cash from the players. Word put out on the street. More people wanting to vindictively destroy them. I dunno. I don't speak for the majority, either.

To be fair we are joing one of the lowest population houses. I think FRR has more members than Liao.

One that would be boring since according to Dev Blog 1 we will be restricted in which planets we can play with. Two we want to see how much we could effect the meta game by trying to reverse the 4th session war. Three Davion are the real bad guys of battletech.

I can't remember if it was Liao or Marik that was at the bottom of the list, but neither one seems to have drawn all that much attention. I imagine it is because they will be quite remote from the 'action' that will come with the Clan Invasion. The influx of people should be a boon to Liao, that's for sure. The problem that the FRR is going to run in to is that there is a healthy portion of the people joining it who are going to switch over to the Clans asap, if they are ever made playable. Will be interesting to see what happens to our population then, but right now, we're sitting in third I believe, behind Davion (1st) and Kurita (2nd).

I'm all for pushing back Davion (plus it gives the Robinson Rangers something to do, they should be fun competition for you guys!), they get a crapload of people just because Stackpole had such a hard on for them. Same deal with Clan Wolf (and Wolf-in-Exile).

i know you guys are probably in it for the fun but. i think you need to disband or break into smaller groups and try to fight on different factions in this game instead of power loading one side.

Nah, we're good brah.

Personally I'm hoping they let the Kuritans have the option to make their mechs bow. As long as I get the option to kick them in he face while they do it.

The fact that there are people who unironically hold the belief that Kuritan mechs should bow makes me so very angry.

Which, hysterically enough is just what would go down if a kuritan decided to do that in a firefight with a capellan. We fight to win, and we fight dirty. Anything less, puts our worlds at risk.

Goons are pretty infamous in EVE. But from few ocassions i fought against them they have proved as capable fighters. And it is hard to measure honour when you are trying to blast each other to pieces.

Brethren, let us not waste our breath arguing for it is futile against such overwhelmingly large e-peens as possessed by the mighty Kazumi and Adridos, but let us remember what our Great Leader has said on such matters.

SA Forums>Games 2:30 " Let he with the largest e-peen speak first and fall first, for his glory is digital only."

SA Forums>Phiz 1:18 "Care not for counter trolls as they sit in mainstream waters."

SA Forums>GBS 4:19 "Those without [TENBUX] shall come to know their shortcomings, yet it will be to late"

SA Forums>Helldump 1:1 "He who flames first shall rest beneath the ashes of a thousand flames."

Let us reflect on these words from the Book of Lowtax. These non believers shall receive their reckoning, but for us to bicker with them diminishes our own e-spirit.

As long as the goons don't intentionally attempt to make this game unplayable for everyone else I don't have any issues with them being in MWO. I've flown against goons in eve for a number of years now and have found them to be mostly low-skilled lemmings, with a number of exceptions. This doesn't mean they're disorganized, it just means that without a head they crumble very easily.

As Capellans, you should know we don't fight dirtly to fight dirtly, but to preserve the nation.

Making only house that never ever wanted to kill us our enemies is a mad decision and even completely crazy people like Romano understood that and never angered them. They have a hand in our success and we owe them. :)

You're aware of the fact you aren't actually a Capellan right? You're an internet nerd playing space robot games, just like the rest of us.

Well, this is why I add the caveat "Anything less puts our worlds at risk". It's irresponsible to fight on the enemy's terms, especially as outnumbered as we are.

If I'm stood in my giant space robot facing another giant space robot who's pointing guns at me in MWO and he's dumb enough to BOW then I'm kicking him, shooting him, giving him a robot wedgie, whatever.

That doesn't change the fact you shouldn't (read: can't in the game) break the alliance agreement between Liao, Marik and Kurita. :)
