aww, I was just about to start posting these up...
GOOD NEWS... 6800K CAN PLAY MWO!!!
pretty freakin well.. WITH NO GRAPHICS CARD!
720P on high gets 20-25FPS stable in the training grounds (haven't tested it in game as its 5AM here)
1080P on low it gets 20-25FPS in testing ground... (really smooth so its not super hard on the eyes)
1024X768 on low it gets 45FPS XD
720P on medium is about 25-30ish and on low its 35-40FPS

this is VERY respectable being there is no graphics card whatsoever (other than the APU itself) and its using the motherboard ram (only 512MB of it cause I don't know how to increase that..)

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND.. I installed windows... I put MSI Afterburner on it, Mozilla Firefox on it, and MWO on it.. there isn't a bunch of apps running in the background as this was a fresh and clean install of Windows 8 (the windows 7 they gave me was 32 bit and I was like "thats not getting put on this...")

for kicks i'ma do a quick demo video IN TRAINING GROUNDS.. of the FPSs and settings to show what it has and put it up.. then i'ma go pass the hell out...

Faster ram will increase performance up to 20%.

If you get a chance, grab some 2166 DDR3 for a test in the future. But 1866 is good as well. I was glad to see you weren't using 1600.

i believe to ramp up the RAM speed and the amount of memory used for integrated GPU you need to use the bios feature

kinda like the old school AGP aperture setting

do refer to the mainboard manual carefully

i quite surprised they gave a gold series PSU those cost around 150 bucks in my local shop

wonder why they cheapen themselves by using the kingston SSD and win 7 32bit

memory support by this board is here

http://www.asrock.co...me4/?cat=Memory

I don't think so. The APU supports up to 2400 in the memory controller, there's no need to overclock.

Wow, I am way behind. What is an APU? Is it some sort of all in one design?

AMD answer to combining a CPU and GPU into one die

beats the Intel GMA solution by a lot

An APU is an Accelerated Processing Unit.. it basically does what Dragoon said.. combines CPU and GPU onto one piece of hardware.. the one that I am doing all of my tests with can be found here: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819113331

I just figure what that special PCI slot which is of a different direction for

http://www.frozencpu...s62&id=YH6P2wgp

its actually for mounting a PCI slot cooling fan use to cool the GPU if some models only comes with a passive heatsink cooler.

More correctly, you mean with no "discrete" graphics card. And how much did you finally end up paying for that underpowered rig?

Assuming you had an old tower, power supply and storage drive laying around, you could get something similar for like $300.

ok seem like this ASRock mobo stinks

i just read the manual for your model and the max is 512MB

next feature to install into the computer would be to use AMD Overdrive software combine with Afterburner but make sure the drivers esp the APU driver are the latest

get the 13.4 then try the beta 13.6

try to ramp up the memory and GPU clock to see if the fps could be bump up even by a little bit

from what I understand I can keep it and I just got AMD overdrive and ASRock extreme overclock thing to try to monitor it

also it seems I can only change the frequency of the GPU not the amount of RAM

Ok i just confirmed that only Asus F2A85 V Pro supports setting the onboard video memory size up to 2GB!!!

I was looking for the setting in the manual and found it under UMA Frame Buffer Size: Auto,32M,64M,128M,256M,512M,1G,2G
