I hope so. I thought it was a nice feature on long range mechs such as the Vulture.

Only in mechs that support it, I hope.

Not one of the mechs in the game right now does. :)

To compare, I would expect for most mechs without articulated arms would have a larger torso twist range compared to others of the same weight. Mechs like the Jenner and Catapult.

Will any have a full 360 torso twist? Not sure, though some may come close.

Ya theres no such things as 360 degree twist for mechs in battletech. I understand you want super-mechs that do absolutely everything but there has to be a balance somewhere.

Standard BT rues say no. This is a fluff they put in the novels and video games. I they do add it then only the Clan Mechs will have it for now.

Great another advantage for the Clanners.

I'm not interested in 360 turning. It de-emphasizes careful maneuvering skills by taking away a limitation.

In that you could run away from an enemy at full speed while not exposing your rear armor, AND firing your weapons at them.

I like the limitations having a limited degree of turning provides. It means that you need to consider those limitations in combat.

I'm probably wrong but the only mech that could turn super far was the Raven. It wasn't 360 though, not even 180 but it was pretty close.

MW4 had many things you will not find within this game. 360° torso twists are not part of the Battletech universe and will therefor most likely not be in the game. The developers have repeatedly stated that they want to stay as close to the original rules as possible.

There's a reason why most armored vehicles do.

Ultimately, you can't really go by the TT rules regarding this... because things like the minutia of torso twist aren't really represented to a high degree of detail.

The notion of 360 torso twisting isn't something that is ultimately game breaking, if implemented well.

MW4 implemented it well. Torso twist was different from mech to mech... only a very select few had a full 360 degree torso twist capability. Off the top of my head, they were the Thor, Thanatos, Raven.... maybe that's it? I don't remember any others at the moment.

Torso twist lends another interesting element of character to individual chassis... Gives another balancing point for making different chassis worth piloting.

So, in some cases where someone might say, "Why would anyone pilot that chassis? Chassis X is better." A reason could be because the seemingly inferior chassis has better torso twist.

360 deg torso twists are pretty rare. What about the rear mounted lasers and the arms with no lower actuators being able to fire behind you?
