I wanted to report something. but since we signed an NDA, afaik we can't talk about it. dunno, where or how to make a report to the devs?

so i re downloaded the 12v12 client. same issue. Very frustrating when devs post to respond to trolls moments after I ask a reasonable question. No help for people who pay money into the game, post reasonable feedback, and want to help with the development of 12 vs 12.

Shame on you Paul.
I will try again in the next session, as i love this game (broken movement or not) and want to see it succeed. Just tired of being openly slapped in the face.

Encountered a few FPS chugs that seemed unrelated to number of mechs on screen (one was while fighting a raven on the other side of the map), but other than that no issues.

I'm not wrong about PPCs. Nor am I always wrong about everything else. You see, this little boating penalty being put in, it, per the wording presented by Paul, says more than 2x PPC -or- more than 2x ERPPC causes the penalty.

What it doesn't specify is if...

You have more than 2x of /any/ PPC type on a mech then you get the penalty.

If you have 2x PPC + 2x ERPPC (total of 4 PPCs but /two/ different types) you completely avoid the penalty. Have you run a 2x ERPPC + 2x PPC Stalker? If you haven't, I urge you to do so. It is quite useful.

I've done MORE than my share of crusading intelligent comments over the past year. I'm just at my wits end at this point seeing a franchise I love "underperform." Make no mistake, I want PGI to succeed.

I love this new 12v12! It is so stellar that I... gah. I can't even describe it. Amazing job! (crosses fingers for official 12v12 patch soon)

Also, might the devs consider a 24-mech free for all or 6-lance free for all? Because that would be incredible. Thanks for the test!

Something is fishy with the heat in this test build. My 9 mlas hunchie never overheats with just one blast, now it did.
The game ran smooth and didn't run into any weird stuff, thats good. Sadly most of the maps feel to small for 12 vs 12, it just became a cluster**** where anything smaller than a assault couldn't poke out without being blasted to smithereens. Hoping its just us players not playing as we should since its the first time with 24 players and that it will settle down when its implemented into the regular build.

I had a lot of fun testing this. 12 vs 12 changes the game for sure and many things will need to be tweaked. I think the best part was playing with with a bunch of people who care enough about the game to bother with the test. Good games!

You're right, a lie must have intent behind it. If anything, they misinformed/changed their minds/backtracked on what they said. Either way, the net effect to the community is the same: They become jaded to it, as many of us have.

The problem is, however, when huge sweeping statements are made on issues like... 3rd Person View... to calm the furor (and lead to more sales) and only month later are completely reversed... That you must agree leaves a sour taste in customer mouths, right?

Then there's the whole 2.0 heatsink problem. The developers insisted it was one way but the community uncovered it was the opposite. Once again, the developers inserted their foot in their mouths.

So while it might not be a "lie" per say, it in turn can be perceived as yet another blunder that further builds the earned cynicism that you see so much of on here.

It was like the pilot inefficiencies weren't being applied. I noticed it too.

Blast man you don't know for sure if mixing ppcs/erppcs will count towards boating, it very well may maybe a little birdie told me

Just played 5 12v12 matches only one was a steamroll the rest of the matches ended with the winning team having two or three beat to hell mechs at the end. Nice action and no quick cap games.

Birdie or not, all we have is Paul's words in the Command Chair post he made today. He could save himself a lot of embarassment in the future if he clarifies things now if this is in fact the case: PPC and ERPPC are being lumped together towards counting the total number of "PPCs."

For now, though, it looks like they aren't. Only he can publicly confirm/deny this.

why the need for a public test when there is already a beta server for 12 vs 12? The only dynamic to consider is there is 4 more people per team. maybe could even allow for 8 vs 8 vs 8?

the games in beta, these improvements or additions should be launched on the main server.
