Looks great! My apologies if this has already been asked but what software are you using to do the rendering?

Right now I'm using trueSpace 7.6.

OK, there's still more work left to go. I managed to get most of the detail down on the right side of this evolving beastie and I'm incorporating some of the detail from the mini to fill out the blank space on the top.

Very well done art. It actually looks like it could even be official. I really hope you give a shot at a mech.

Bump for update.

Finished the left and right sides and blocked out the hull and turret.

It's been slow going as I've been pretty busy lately.

oh no ... he looks like a cute funny tank from a children's cartoon, am I drew this? I was hoping that it would like the Abrams tank in its proportions (from which, probably, was drawn the original TRO art ) is possible even wider than the Abrams is a front of body. probably need to add more rollers and the body and the tower make wider and longer?

The M1 Abrams is 7.93m x 9.77m x 2.44 m

The turret is nowhere near where it should be in terms of size and shape so that's yet to come. At the moment the tank is 13.6m wide and 20.3m long (without the mock barrel). Keep in mind that I model at double the size to get finer details. So at a proper size it'd be 6.8m x 10.15m. With the turret as it is, 3.6m tall.

So to compare:

M1 Abrams:
7.93m x 9.77m x 2.44m

Rommel/Patton:
6.8m x 10.15m x 3.6m

-edit-
I'll adjust the scale to a model of the M1 that I have in my library.

-edit 2-

OK! I've narrowed the track width as well as the left and right side sections, narrowed the hull to fit the first adjustment. I then lengthened and flattened the turret block, extended the mock barrel so it looks less silly, and a number of other minor adjustments. The dimensions are a bit closer to the M1 Abrams.

I do think the main turret could use to be flatter like the Abrams, with all the do-dads tacked on top. Also, those armor baffles I think should sit a little further back on the turret.

Update time!

Mostly just detailed the front part of the hull. There were some minor tweaks here and there but nothing too noticeable in the image. I just wanted to clean up the left and right sides a bit.

Hey, see there is progress) Unfortunately some design elements look good on the concept, but they do not look so good on 3d model, so I still have a lot to learn in order to understand how it will look in 3D what I draw ...

I do not want You to get bored while I'm long and tedious drawing another vehicle, so, to entertain You, I decide to show You a long-standing and not a finished concept art of Valkyrie mech, I know that it has never to be completed... enjoy

I like your Valkyrie redesign, though I don't know about the top two LRM tubes being recessed like that. The rest of it looks pretty solid though.

Now for the Patton/Rommel tank! I've completed the hull details and tried to blend details from the miniature, the top and back end of the M1 Abrams, and tried to match your design style.

I also reshaped the turret. Though with so much of it hidden, it's difficult to get a good shape going with the information available. There's a lot of guesswork here.

Getting the shape of the turret so far has been a shot in the dark.

This artwork looks superb, if this was made as an assist consumable, I'd take it.

WILL9761, I want tanks consumable too, but I'm not sure that the tanks can make it, because on many maps are very rugged terrain, where the tank is controlled by AI will not be able to drive, but attack helicopters consumable with AC-2 would be a good idea, they can make a few shots at the enemy before they were destroyed, and this is better than the airstrike which is extremely difficult to cause damage to someone

I'm having difficulty matching the panel lines on the side of the turret. I get geometry errors when I try to match the lines of the artwork I'm basing this model on. What's worse is the techniques I'm familiar with don't seem to work in this case.

On the plus side I was able to detail the "ears" part and got the LRM5 started as well as the commander's hatch modeled. But this one hiccup is holding me back from any more progress.

Not a huge update. I rebuilt the main part of the turret several times now and this is about as close as I can get to the image as I can while trying to match the surface angles and panel lines. Unfortunately I hadn't been able to get the secondary details modeled in because it has a tendency to create some nasty geometry errors.

Either it's my software or my skill, but at some point I'll need to move on and complete this project as best as I can.
