Once it was united under the Star League
But for the past 300 days it has been consumed by savage war.
Until a new enemy appeared,
Mysterious Invaders known as the Ekmans,
Powerful and ruthless, they struck like lightning,
Monetizing every game element at once,
But they made one big mistake,
THEY ATTACKED MY MERC CORP,
Now in the spirit of the Star League,
Ancient enemies have reunited,
And we're going to take back our game!

Agreed, probably the best analogy for the situation. The clans (PGI) are coming, Inner sphere unite! This will be a great laugh for us when we are all sitting on the same island SQUAKing.

I think a key, really the key, is that this isn't just a whine fest. We, united as a community, are going to take action. We are going to speak truth to power. This is not a passive action, this is active engagement for change.
We'll see how it goes.
Also, I love your username.

Fight the power! We are the 10%!
The other 89% are the silent majority that has been steadily giving PGI the input they need to make decisions. Dang, I wish that I was part of that group and have their super secret means to give feedback to PGI.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, now is not the time for petty differences...
Casuals and competitives, tryhards and goons...
we must all stand together or fall forever.

The time is nigh, let us take back our beloved mechwarrior dream!

I appreciate your post and the clear statement. From what I have read by now, I´d stick to you and Stalkerr ^^ Because on the other side, there are posts from your community that do not even have the slightest bit of reflection of the past development, especially the involvment of the community itself, that led to the crap we are in now.
I am not talking about the goon-bashing .. personal things should be kept personal, but the behaviour of some "apparently constructive" members leads even me (I don´t know a thing about your history) to certain scepticism of where this is going to lead. Simply because you are big enough to produce a statement and talke the presence of representatives of other corps as legitimacy to say "the community says so". (worst case)
I´m still looking forward to the meeting (even though I messed up timezones and are trying to get up at 3 in the morning ^^)
Well, I can't say that every goon is being 100% constructive, but that is one of the downsides to being involved in a group this size. There's always going to be some people who are in it more for their personal jollies than anything else. However, I assure you that the people we have assigned to speak at the town hall itself will be rational, steeped in knowledge of internet gundam robotjox boxing, and open to the community's suggestions and constructive criticism.
And don't worry overmuch if your sleep requires you to miss the meeting itself; real life concerns are always paramount before video games.
Additionally, I would reiterate the response fil5000 posted on page 19 to your remarks. We are not making demands or nailing theses to PGI's door, no matter how much it may seem that way. We are simply attempting to make our concerns, and the concerns of the other groups involved, clear.

Lets wait until the game is released before fully judging it. Lots of new changes coming these next few months. I shall be enjoying every minute of my premium time :]

You think in two months they will fix the huge laundry list of problems, yet it took 3+months for them even look at SRM's which was just a text file adjustment. Keep dreaming. If you think MWO is completely fine, thats great, dont show up, and dont post here if you're not going to be constructive, or add to the debate.

I question the wisdom of intentionally waiting until it's too late. It is not my belief that you should wait to fix the terrible new player experience until after you've presented it to an audience of all-new players, but if you have compelling reasons to do so, please present them. Is the idea to surprise new players with a broken concept that is rapidly patched, instilling faith in your product support? That's a very dangerous gamble given the speed at which PGI's been able to deliver updates so far!

While he should try to reign himself in a bit, dissenting voices are welcome. Perhaps everybody else has missed some vital aspect that he can see, or perhaps he has been unable to play at a high level and cannot remember what it was like to play at a truly beginner level and therefore cannot see the current problems.

Or we just accept that trusting the devs for whatever reason is also a legit point in this discussion. There have been good approaches, there have been fatal approaches and therefore it is perfectly acceptable that positive persons try to calm others/us down saying "give them time, it will heal all wounds/problems". We agreed that communication is the key and everyone will be heard

It could be a legitimate point but I think it's one that anyone promoting will have to work hard to convince people of. A lot of us have been playing since closed beta started and have seen how long it takes for things to happen, and we're two months away from "launch" at this point...
