So many games I died or lost just cause I see my gauss splattering into a shower of sparks RIGHT ON TARGET but doing no damage whatsoever ...or PPC shot passing right through lights or the occassional cicada .....
Its infuriating.

- They are working on fixing reasons on the HSR side.
- They are working to identify if there are netcode issues making the issue worse and if so, how to correct them.
- They are looking at fixing some bugged hitboxes.
But at least with this issue they've communicated about it. Patience. It's infuriating but this game is BETA and we all know it.

MWO suffers from the same issues as any network game: what you see, and what the server sees, are not the same thing. However, the game can't wait for the server to okay the animations, so the client shows a hit while waiting for the server to tell it whether or not it actually hit.
The thing is that MWO seems to light up the hitmarker based on client-side hits, rather than server-side, making it seem like you hit them, but didn't.
Plus, hit registration is a crapshoot even against large, stationary mechs.
Plus, because of how easy it is to aim in this game, the larger the mech, the faster they die, because it's easier to concentrate damage, while a tiny mech can spread damage much better, even without trying, as the spread of a large mech's arms means that at a certain range, it's impossible to hit a single location with all weapons.

Understandable, yet these little f*ckers are surviving and killing far more than I've ever seen them. My shots seem to land, yet the hits don't register. I've been able to kill them at times, but then I'm left thinking...wow...that took longer than it should have.

Almost as infuriating as the fact that Lights are still, with Mediums, one of the two worst classes in this game. Hit detection screws up on everything. There are 2 reasons that people act like this is a light-only problem.
Reason 1: Spiders genuinely have some serious hitbox issues.
Reason 2: Lights are so easy to hit and so lightly armored that when you hit one and it doesn't die you are amazed, so you go post on the forums.
Hit detection fails on all mechs moving all speeds, etc.

From my perspective, as a Jenner pilot, it's more that lights have been terrible for a couple months, and this is a resurgence now that assaults can't 1shot our legs off.
Yes, there are hit registration issues, most noticeably with spiders, that said I've not had issues hurting Jenners, Ravens, or Cicadas either in my Jenner or any of my other mechs.

Hit registration fail is pretty much the reason I hate fighting against lights--especially Spiders and Ravens.
Uncontrollable RNG that negates skill--PGI at its best.

Many of them will have rude awakening once hit registration is fixed...if PGI can do it.
