You knew of the three phases of CW?

That 3rd, 12v12, dx11, and a new engine update were coming in august?

That a tutorial (finally) is coming to the test server?

Are you a wizard? Or working for PGI.

Or...they are doing both. They've updated CryEngine in the past (closed beta I believe).

A new engine version is not a new engine. And I don't remember any engine updates.

Tomato Tomato. And it was updated, and the results were...less than stellar. Hopefully they learned their lesson or took notes the last time. It's by far the most worrysome thing they had in this update.

I want to like this information, but I'm a little burnt on the information we have been getting. Most seems to be already known, of mild interest but of no real importance, or vague time frames for when stuff will come out only to have the goal posts moved time and again. I guess I will have to wait and see, but I won't hold my breath on anything happening in the time frame they have given other than what is coming next week.

Tomato Tomato? Also, different game engine equals going from CryEngine 3 to, say, Frostbite 3. An update is no where near as intensive.

Then maybe you should take a remedial reading class because I'm not so sure how they or I could be any more clear.

along with a new engine update and DX 11.

Gentlemen! Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who who said what... this is a time for celebration! Good things are coming!

I mean, I did experience a significant framerate increase when they ended the reign of the Shiny Awesome, after all.

LoL.
Still pushing 3rd Person
Still no tutorial
Still not actually adressing heat issues
Still thinking you know what the player wants

You know there is a town hall going on about all of this and more right PGI?
Should pay more attention to your fan base before it moves on.

Just wanted to say thanks for the update. I think the +1 to heat for PPC/ERPPC is the right move. some times you have to crawl before you can walk. A lot of little changes can add up. I'm excited for the new map. However I'm really hoping that community warfare helps to organize this game.... To the community as a whole good job on the "Sarah's Mech" initiative I'm proud of us, and thanks PGI/IGP for helping to make that happen. It was the right call.

I do appreciate their attempt to inform their player base on upcoming things to expect. I understand why it is generic. It has to be in case anything doesn't work out in testing.

Thankyou for the overview, looking forward to the increasing use of the test environment prior to permanent patching.

Really REALLY, looking forward to ways that enhance/clarify the roles of the medium mechs in the field

keep up the good work!

Only took them about a year. I'm sure they'll get it done soon and it won't run into any delays that push it back 6 months, oh no.

Just wait, any day now this game will be good, it's just a matter of time.

While you're waiting though, make sure to give PGI $80 for Overlord, more money never hurts right and may even hasted DX11.

Go go, spend.

By the way, if this CDU is the Summer Edition, can we expect another one next month? Or only at Fall?

Judging from how the entire post was written... I expect to see one in late August or September... before the "official day".

Well this "July" Creative Developer Update took WAY too long.

Again like everyone else you posted lots of words but they all have little to no substance.

New map on Tuesday is good to know.

You say we'll be getting a heads up on Community Warfare but we're so far how many months past the original CW date and still 0 meaningful information on it?

I decided to go out on a limb and pick up an Overlord package. The last patch was a definitive step in the right direction. But you seriously need to start issuing bug patches every week. Also once you launch you need to change the trial mechs every 2 weeks (like League of Legends does with their free heroes).

Shrug! A nerf to ppc/erppcs. You are gonna try some other stuff. I tried to get in the PTS this afternoon and evening but no dice - got a message (version mismatch). Worked last week but not today. Sent notice to support and got an email back saying go check patch notes - what patch notes? No patch today just play button, which sent me to login screen and buzzzz. Fail again. Going back to Star Citizen forums - they communicate pretty good. Not a rant Paul, you already have my money for Founders, I have 19 mechs, bought Phoenix and sent in my contribution for Sarahs Mech. Just tired I guess.

Yeah, because it's too hard to look at the Public Test Forum thread to see that is was cancelled.

Bill made a good point on the #saveMWO townhall tonight, and we do tend to get pretty negative sometimes.

So, sorry PGI for when I get negative. Try to understand that it's only because I care, and I like your game. If I was really negative about it, I'd just go play other stuff.

Great update! I hope these "agility buffs" will be incentive enough for more players to bring out their smaller 'Mechs, because if drop weight restrictions are put in place, I feel like there will be a lot more heavy/assault 'Mechs in the queue than lights and mediums.

To the "dissatisfied":

The chief problem I see is not with your arguments, as quite honestly, it doesn't matter either way if the devs implement your suggestions and address your grievances (and whatever else it is you people complain about). The real issue is your overall methods, as you collectively present yourselves as an angry mob. History has shown that:

1. No one wants to deal with angry mobs.
2. A mob is not correct, simply because it is angry.

If you want the devs to take you seriously, then you need to alter your behavior. May I suggest:

1. Forming a committee (it sounds like some of you have already done this).
2. Coming to an agreement on your main ideas / suggestions / grievances and compiling them (be sure to also include all relevant, supporting data).
3. Electing a representative.
4. Having said representative present your list of issues to PGI in an eloquent, civil and professional manner.

I implore you disaffected individuals to please conduct yourselves with a degree of decorum and civility – you will be taken more seriously if you remain calm and behave like adults.

And remember, it is a video game. It is the job of the developers to worry about it – not you.

Is it really worth complaining about in the first place?
