I don't care what the haters say. Coming plans for august and MWO online are looking good. Balancing issues are to be expected.

Plans are always nice. Just read the warfare blogs for plans.

What will actually be implemented is another thing.

Keep it up PGI and bear in mind that haters are posting because the secretly care.

Of course we care. That's our entire point - we care that the game isn't achieving its goals and even if some of them may have been lofty and unrealistic, some of them could have been met if they didn't go for the bad solutions...

Well I suppose for the active forum monkeys it may not seem like much new info. However, for folks like me, currently taking a break, this is a bunch of news. Thanks for these kinds of posts too. They consolidate all the info, making it much easier than spending a day on the forums hunting through all the topics to find all the info. Much appreciated.

Funny thing is everyone here saying how the Devs are doing sub-par, reminds me of the forums of every other game forum. Seems someone always knows theat the Devs for every game are doing a sub-par job. There's nothing the Devs for this, or any other, game could do that would make the forum kiddies happy. The only thing they are happy about is bitching about how terrible it is. Thank god I'm happier with it all.

I log in, play, enjoy, log out. Simple as that. There are things I would like to see fixed, but I find more constructive ways to do it than to tell people that they suck. Prolly just me.

That would be true normally, yes you can't silence the "kiddies" but the majority of use are over 25 and working.

Everyone knows what 3pv means, and the rage on the forums is in full bloom, but, as you can see, PGI doesn't care a bit. They keep counting accounts, no matter how many old ones become inactive. They want casual gamers into their game, and as soon as 3pv comes live, the game will keep going towards the widest audience, stripping off everything that is difficult for some school children's comprehension. My guess it will become a totally arcade MechAssault 3 on xbox. If PGI guys think some other way, let us hear that, we are listening, but they'd better SHOW, as the time for listening is up long time ago.

Maybe PGI is aware of the potential issues with 3rd person view since they're aware of both previous games, and hoards of pitchfork wielding fools screaming about it. Maybe they're putting it on the test server to find and address issues.

Still no fix for the EXP systems stupid 3 chassis requirement. I have not leveled a single mech past basic because I refuse to be forced to spend money on and play mechs I have no interest in. Fix your stupid system.

Did you miss the datamined images of the Kintaro? It actually looked pretty sweet especially for something that started off so damn ugly. They even had the hardpoints up and everything. Both threads in which the images and info were posted got deleted though.

Simple... why should we just be grateful that there is a 'mechwarrior' game out?

Has this entire game been smooth? Has it lived up to the promises? Has it captured the initial dreams that were the direction this game was going? Has it stuck to the 'Battletech Universe'? Most answers to any question on MWO is No.

Have I had a lot of fun games? Yes.

Its not perfect, just as its not complete. Will it ever be complete (as in the complete experience we've been promised)? I don't know, I'm not a bloody psychic. Do I plan to keep playing so long as I'm having fun? Yes.

There's no 'fix' for that because it's working as the designers intended. Not that it's a good design, but they made it this way on purpose.

It's not 'broken', it's poorly designed.

Has the game even existed in development for 3 years? No. Are you impatient? Yes.

I love how everyone and their moms thinks that they are game developers and know how to fix all of the games problems. Some of the ideas posted have merit, especially the well thought out, multi-step ones some folks have posted. But most of the vocal people are actually folks who have no idea how to fix the problems that they claim to care about and are just posting to post and gritch.

It may take PGI awhile to fix the bugs in the game and fix boating and such, so people need to learn patience.

If you guys are going to implement 3pv gotta I hope you it in a way that 3rd person view doesn't give a visual advantage over 1st person. I played MechAssault (I understand I might get some hate for mentioning that lol) and although it was a fun game, lots of people clung on to hills and corners to give them visual advantages that would otherwise not be available in a cockpit view in multiplayer. Now the problem I see with the option of segregating who you want to play with (3pv vs 3pv, 1pv and 3pv, or 1pv vs 1pv) although fine and dandy as an idea, I can imagine waiting for a queue might (not saying that it will) be an issue or be much longer. I hope by the time you guys release 3pv its something reasonable and doesn't make the whole "Being the pilot is one of our key design pillars" a hypocritical statement. I'm confused as to why people link that post to validate their position about how PGI lies, but conveniently forget this statement within it:
"We will investigate 3rd person in the far off distance for special game settings, but this is very far off in the distance"

And this one:
"Edit:

It's been over a year since this was posted. As I mentioned..."We will investigate 3rd person in the far off distance for special game settings, but this is very far off in the distance." We're now at that far off distance. "

I think it's because Community Warfare was happening really soon and third person was happening in the far off distance as a special game setting, but now CW is nowhere in sight as third person's the default (with first-only as a "hardcore" option in a split queue).

Because it proves they are liars? I'm confused why people say "be patient, they will fix it" or "this game has only been in development for less than 3 years" and then say "they said far off distance and now we are there" Guess PGI doesn't follow the same rules of the space time continuum as the rest of us mortals.

I'm fully aware of their statement that they would consider 3pv over a year ago, I'm just hoping that they do 3pv in a way that doesn't ruin the gameplay of the game for me and take away from the 1pv experience, and by doing so would come off hypocritical (to me that is). I'm not trying to state that they've lied when I so far have no proof, especially before I've seen how the 3pv will effect the game.

I have been playing since closed beta and have to say this... Fasa would be turning over in their grave if they had seen what PGI has done with it. They are taking this awesome series and turning it into what you might expect to see on a console. PGI, I promise I will not put any more money into this game until you give us our own matchmaking capabilities. You have totally missed the concept of what the big draw to this game is all about. My suggestion to you it to go back and take a good look at mech 3 and Mech 4 and rethink where you are going with this game.
