2) Get rid of the ******** heat penalties for boating. They do nothing but ruin weapons that werent overpowered. And they steer everyone more towards PPC/Gauss.
3) % crit to internals is entirely pointless. Internals are already destroyed so fast it will make no appreciable difference. It is simply a waste of time. Unless you plan on increasing internals, which would probably be a good thing to tell the players, if thats the case.

1) If you can hit them at all, eg aren't affected by serious hit/damage detection issues mentioned in the patch feedback thread these past few months.
2) Heat penalties for boating is so arbitrary it's just plain weird. Probably the worst game mechanic I've ever heard of. What hope do new players have of understanding heat management now there's an extra unadvertised table to look up that has such a fundamental effect on the way you now have to build mechs. What's wrong with 'boating' weapons that don't do one-shot-kill alpha strikes? That's half of playing role-based combat gone right there.

just for info: their max without pen is 3, not 9!
problem is, that AC2 chainfired generate WAY more heat than in alpha while delivering less bullets/damage in a given time...

2. Change to pulses Is great. Since cd starts when beam duration ends, this is also a possible raw dps increas, but mostly it makes pulses really feel and function differently, and they're not OP. Dps tweaks probably incoming, but the flavor/feel change is a long term good.
3. Change to er ll is good. The extended range just isn't't worth much given the 1 second beam duration.
4. A good significant but not dumbly drastic change to pppcs. With buffs to a bunch of short range weapons, a little conservatism is good.
5. Pet peeve: while large pulses should have a group limit of two, lls really need a group limit of three. With 1 second beam, their value as an alpha weapon is already pretty low, and there are sooo many large mechs with 3 laser slots in one location. 2 ll and 1 ml is a bad. Keeping larges and er larges linked is important to avoid six clumps.
LPLs group poorly with other larges, so no harm in separating lpl and giving them a limit of two.
6.Final thought: lpls are already pretty good for an average pilot. Way easier to hit lights and specific locations on big mechs than an ac20. Way hotter. Faster dr over 300 meters. 2 lpl v 1 ac20 is a good choice. Lpls too hot to really boat.
Ac20 plus two lpl on a victor or highlander rocks :-). Just needs some ppc nerfs to help it along.
