ok so i have received an email in regards to a ticket i submitted about the afore mentioned game crash/ freeze. As per the senior tech support guru, the problem is centered around those who use Avast anti virus software, and AMD processors. as hwere i fall into both of these catagories, i was told that they will have a fix as soon as possible.

I'm not uninstalling my antivirus. These devs need to learn how to make a frakking game.

As someone who grew up playing Battletech, and made a point to get his hands on every Mechwarrior game he could, I'm really disappointed with this game. If you can't even compete with the job Microsoft did 13 years ago, I'd say it's time to take a step back and look at the priorities. How anyone can make a game so broken and incomplete an open beta is mind-boggling.

Devs have a sticky already and the Avast! item is meant to be temporary workaround. If this affects you, you will need to wait for the issue to be resolved. After the workaround was reported, including reinstalling Avast! (and rebooting system) and had the APPCRASH happen again, it did not take long for them to both acknowledge and get started looking into it.

As for Microsoft, they never attempted to create a persistent world/environment with Mechwarrior, though a few other companies did with the MPBT series, which lasted for almost 20 years over 3 different games, each a stepping stone off the previous version til EA got involved (sad, sad day). So comparing what Microsoft did, via other gaming companies, and what PGI is doing (I am not a {Noble MechWarrior} by far) is two different things. PGI did want to go down that same road as MS but they had to take a different path to simply bring this game into being. To say anything else would come with heavy moderation/bans :)

Since the latest patch I get thrown out of most matches due to network issues, if i even make it that far.

Is it just me or do other people notice this as well?

same for me. just got a brandnew machine and i rly like mwo. pgi u just need to learn to do some quality insurrance before let the patches go out. im a software engineer myself and know how terribly complicated things can get. but at least every second patch from u needs a hotfix. thats just plain bad, and i understand why people flame on you.
anyway im looking forward to play again so fix this as soon as possible, and drop the mc prices on mechs. they are just ridiculous-.-
dont want to share my log and dxdiag etc. its no prob on our machines, just in your code... again

A reinstall of DirectX 9.0C seems to have made the client a little more stable, but I still crash occassionally

I had multiple screen freezes yesterday.
Also there seem to be a number of general problems with the textures again. They are flickering, plain missing or "jumping" around. All new with this patch.

same here...game completely freezes after a couple minutes. Before last patch, I had NOT had a game crash in weeks, after hours of play some days. SINCE this last patch...I get MAYBE 1 game that doesn't freeze, or "Puase" badly. I've been running MAX settings all, 50-70fps until this last patch. HOT fix should be discussed please...

Hasliy, I have heard rumors of a crash caused by simultaneous firing of MGs and AMS systems. You say both times you were blazing away with MGs, might wanna look out for other mechs lighting off AMS at the same time.

I am having the exact same issue. I've followed the same troubleshooting steps to no avail. I am also concerned about getting a rollback on my premium time. I e-mailed support. It seems like this patch is no bueno.

Freezes, Black Screen, sound comes back, game comes back, can play again in the match, freeze may last around 30 seconds or more.
