I have the same problem. In fact, I had the same problem when trying to run the Public Test server. When I look in Task Manager after I hit Play, the MWOClient.exe process shows up for about 5 seconds, then disappears.
Ran the repair tool, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted, it still won't launch.

Everything was working fine this morning before the patch.

So after trying to start the game a few times via the play button I noticed that the client is just peaking it's head into the task manager for a moment. This told me if there is an issue to check my windows application logs. After searching I seen the last few times I've started MechWarrior in there as error. The code is 1000, and that lead me to believe that it cannot find the DNS server. I checked my firewall, and MechWarrior was not on it. I added it as an exception, and still no luck trying to start the program.

Any dev's or moderators, or respected members of the community at least able to tell us something? I'm really bored, and want to destroy some crybaby guassapults.

Same problem here. Fresh reinstall, computer restart, driver updates, etc. Nothing.

Really unfortunate :[

Just sucks that I've been at this for 3 hours on my 1 night off this week. Next Tuesday will be my next day off, and looks like another patch that day. It's all due to them not friggin answering a question too. I understand that they have lives, but damn this is a patch day have some common sense and put extra help on to get that sucker working right instead of ******* away my evening.

Yeah there are about 5 of these threads on this board now. Maybe PGI will figure out something's wrong soon.

Hey, someone *EVERYONE* theoretically could call piranagames and manually ask if they know whats up. Is that 'illegal' by the games users? I have their # right here on me.

While this might seem like a good idea in theory. It would probly slow down the 1 guy they have working there after banker hours, and you would most likely sit on hold. Kinda like i'm doing while waiting for the stupid GM's to respond to my e-mail. They should post something. Even a "Hey I'm looking into it", or a slight "Go f''' yourself" would work at this point. Just so I know they at least acknowledge the post is here.

If the repair tool isn't resolving the issue for you, then please file a support ticket. They will probably direct you to try the repair tool as well, but they can also try and gather crash report information from you which can be sent to the devs who maintain the patcher. For those of you who this is affecting, we'll get this fixed as soon as we possibly can.

If you haven't or have ran the repair tool please make sure in the options you have selected 'Two-way consolidation'

The repair tool can be found here. If you have made changes to your system.cfg this could be the cause of you not being able to start up.

same issue as on this thread in the appropriate location has received no dev interest. thanks devs for using the forums appropriately. next time il just post where you guys look.

http://mwomercs.com/...e-todays-patch/

This seems to be a serious issue, and some of us noticed it with the 12 v 12 client, with no solution.

waiting patiently for a solution. i know you guys are on it and somethings should come up soon, just hope it doesn't take as long as the srm fix that was asap, and took 3 months iirc.

I already filed a support ticket and directed them to reference this threads, i also stated that any replies they provide MUST be placed in this thread so they can help as many people as possible, anything they email back to me will be posted up here.

If I cannot get on when I get home from work tomorrow I will be requesting a refund for my Overlord Phoenix package, maybe that will be a bit of incentive for your staff to make sure they fully test their patches prior to launch...

After trying out the repair tool I have come to the conclusion (determined by looking at my windows logs and watching the client blink in and out of memory) that the server is most likely saturated at the moment, and there is no cue that I can tell for logins. I would assume my client is trying to connect to the login server, and not receiving anything back from it (the old security handshake stuff). Then instead of saying please wait a moment while we try to connect to the game server (or something to that effect) it just crashes out. Thus the DNS not found windows error I keep getting every time it starts. It's code 1000 for those who want to look it up.

After having looked at the other thread for this issue, it looks like they borked up AMD based systems.

Anyone having this issue with an intel based system?

Hello!

Silly question, but are you the admin of your computer, or have you set the admin privileges to allow the game?

Hmmm actually, my question may not be relevant. You should probably try contacting support@mwomercs.com and the Game Masters will be able to take a look.

baloney! If I have been able to play the game after a previous patch then there should be NO difference with this one.
