The Mauler is 90 tons, and it doesn't have enough (that is, minimum of 3) available variants circa 3051.

Hmm interesting notion, but I fear they'll go lower tonnage and pick Banshee because of it's meh hardpoints. (Well, comparatively to what has been guessed, quad ballistic assaults.. uhhuh, maybe not yet)
Luckily KGC variants aren't really that OP, two of them are similar as laid out.
Sure it is rocking twin AC's but they probably won't give it (m)any more hardpoints beyond what it has mounted for fear of community outcry (ac40 jag/cats are enough cause of tears) and that certainly isn't too much.
And just to remind those crying about split criticals... no such item (TR source is from the time FA$A products were fairly consistent... unless you count the original boxed sets premise of fighting over water lol) http://mwomercs.com/...split-crticals/
King Crab, the gentlemans ride.
I know I will be Crabbing around.

It is sufficient that it is by far the coolest and prettiest.
I agree; looking at Alex's sketch, it would be the best looking mech in game for awhile (in my opinion), even compared to the clan mechs.

MEH. Not like the hand actuators were ever useful anyhow. Simple enough to just move all the AC20 crits into the arms, turns the "claws" into protective covers like the flaps on a Catapult, and be done with it. Letting it have dual ac20 AND the lateral movement of lower arm actuators WOULD probably be crazy OP anyhow.
I'm not criticising, but this gave me a Lol Moment. The claws work like the Catapult LRM Covers? Imagine if you forgot to open them.....
Admittedly, I would not envision PGI actually having your Arms EXPLODE due to forgetting to open the barrels, but there is that half second delay on Missiles for the doors to open automatically. Imagine all the cursing that would occur on the forums about buggy weapon mechanics and how the AC 20s don't fire at the right time. Until someone points out they have to open the claws first....

And the Mackie? Really? Outdated since when? But it would present another choice, so yes for it also. Only problem would be coming up with variants, since it did not have any that I know of . . . Will have to check into that!
Of course, just starting, I am just beginning my collection, and the more Mechs, the longer it will take . . . Oh well, guess that just means more fun over time.

Have you contacted Haruko, and proposed a collaboration?
Also, your KGC looks good, but it needs more claw...
