Meh. Kinda hard for me to get excited over a mech I've never heard of before. Especially when there are still alot of common mechs to be made. Heck if we were wanting to give Kuritas some love there is still the Panther.

Actually, it's just a few centimeters short of Cataphract's height.

It's really much more reasonable than with the Quickdraw this time around.

You sure about that? The concept art looks big...

really wanna buy a hero of this, but please god don't let it be named 'goldenboy', pretty lame imo. its a damn good looking 55 tonner, idk why all these people are saying it looks jagged, only thing I can think of is that those are the same people you cant have a movie conversation with due to how jaded they are. "hey you seen that one move called xxasfdfrgv?" "yeah, it su cked" "oh, well what about that sequel to 'sdfkuhrfne'?" "yeah dude, saw it, total trash."

Some people are forgetting the quirks to mediums that Paul has proposed. That might have been a factor in them choosing to do a medium this month, or a happy accident. Either way, this mech will have good torso twist range/speed and outright speed. It will probably function like the Cent when people abandon adding a ballistic to the arm hardpoint.

As far as looks, I believe that each mech should be considered a work of art on its own. I only compare mechs for size purposes (the big problem with the Quickdraw). Remember that one artist has done all of these mechs. He has his own style and is trying to keep a uniform MWO (and possibly IS) style. Expect Clan mechs to look more alien and provide the contrast you are looking for.

Excellent mech!

One of my all time favorites actually.
Plus it seems that I even get to see my beloved KTO-20 ingame B)

Anyone have any idea if this will be this months mech?

@Alex - great work, as always

Interesting mech ... should be a good counterpart to the Shadowhawk

Regarding the release schedule ... it has been light-medium-heavy-assault ... until May (IIRC), when the Flea was delayed because of issues implementing MASC.

I do think we need more variety in the Light weight class, but I can try to be patient until MASC is ready. I'm guessing we'll see MASC on the PTS before we see the next light.

Have to sell one of my QKGs, I guess
I always loved the KTO in the TT, as the KTO-18 is one of the best 3025-era Mechs, and I hope, it will be as good in MWO.
The story is stupid, though, as House Kurita is the House, that will take no, or slaughter POWs B)

Well, I just hope this one doesn't push Flea even further.

I know, I know - light Mechs suck. No money and no use from them. But I'm kinda sucker for lost causes.

Hey now... My Raven 3L regularly gets me 300+ points of damage and I rarely go down without a kill or two and some assists. Light mechs carry their weight on a team if you know how to run them. Am I right or am I right? B)

I like the choice of mech compared to other 55 tonners. I also approve of the new artwork compared to the original but....

It just feels off... maybe the modelers can make it work better?

Yes, that is the ugliest mech in the history of everything.

Glad Alex did better.

I am just about done with these humanoid robot looking mechs. More tank-ish mechs with chicken walker legs if you please....

It's to bad it lost the monkey look of the original graphics... I think some of the MWO mechs are loosing some of their iconic looks.

They have always taken the TRO art and made it look like a real machine of war. With all due respect. The Kintaro didn't look like a machine of war, and I don't think the original could even be modeled to look at all like something that could really walk around.
