I think these are good. Some of the mechs go really cheap and people who don't want to farm a variant or two can grab them. I've bought non-hero and non-champion mechs myself for MC in the past.
Hopefully with UI 2.0 we will be able to have things on sale more often with greater diversity.

The BJ-1X for example really needs double heat sinks, and full armour. Endo Steel and a bigger XL engine are also advisable.
A team I run with found a good use for the stock BJ-1X.
1) Run 4 of them.
2) Get on a ridge side by side.
3) All of you start waving your flamers in the air like you just don't care.
4) Get the enemy team laughing.
5) Full team rushes in and rips the enemy apart.
Course we only got 5 of the enemy team, but still I'm pretty sure everyone was laughing at the end of the battle. Great stress relief after getting stomped multiple times by 5 assault teams when you've got 2 on your side.....matchmaker fix can't come soon enough.

Because it gives me an opportunity to say: if you're not going to contribute beyond "this isn't for me therefore I am going to show up to tell everyone how it isn't" please find another area of the forums to post on. If you don't like the sale, fine, but showing up to say 'Meh' is a waste of everyones time, including yours.
No, it's not. It's a valid opinion of a (possibly) paying customer.
Posts like yours are just useless censorship.

I bought a Highlander this way. Had just Elited Jenners but didn't have enough CBills to buy a properly kitted out Highlander. So I was happy to pay the price of a Grande Latte to avoid grinding out the additional CBills to get started on a new chassis. Win for PGI, win for me.

What about giving a nice pattern and color for free once we've mastered a mech?

I quite enjoyed running the BJ-1X with a XL-295. There are a number of different effective configurations for it as well, and so long as you treat it as an oversized scout (ie keep that throttle at no less than 50%) you can do some pretty good work in it.

So what if it is? Garth's opinion is equally valid. Here is another one "Even if nothing in this sale interests me I would rather not see a page of complaints under it". If you don't like it then go cry in Gameplay Balance with everyone else. A (potentially paying) customer is important until he starts driving away other potentially paying customers.

I kind of agree, but isn't having a sale of exactly the same mechs as a sale hmm when was it 6 months ago, equally uncreative, if your going to have MC sales on CB mechs your going to need to vary the umm Variants, and while this does give an oppotunity for those that missed these most people will probably be more receptive to said variant change..
what people really seem to want is MC price reductions, colour, camo, mech bay slot reductions, and to a degree cockpit items.
as opposed to get 40% off three day premium, which well if your going to get it and can afford it your going to buy longer periods, which are in the long run cheaper than 3 days with 40% off

It's just meaningless dribble. Not even a why or a proper criticism. We really don't need that kind of thing that shows up in every thread.

Well said! I hope PGI/IGP can continue doing what has made PGI/IGP the success it is! Lets look forward to the next interest provoking sale that garnishes the love PGI/IGP deserves! Let us all sing the praises of PGI/IGP! Hurrah for PGI/IGP!
