The only argument is HOW broken - some say a little and some say a lot.
I believe that Russ Bullock actually admitted it on a twitter post.
I can not remember the link but IIRC it was something like "yeah, I think we broke something there".
I am guessing it will be addressed within 2 patches max.

Yeah, you can dodge a lot of shots in a spider, not as easy as it's look though and doing reasonable damage is much harder than on most mechs.
Assault mechs' tears are collected to make coolshots, it is known.
I watch spiders on streams too. It is not a myth. Even PGI has acknowledged it. Spiders are immune to the majority of damage in many, many matches. Other matches they are just fine.

The hitbox divorced the spider? They might get back together.. ..one day.

Not nearly as bad as those ******** who ran around in Raven 3L's last January who were literally immune to missiles and couldn't be shot b/c of even worse hit registration than we have now.
Oh god that was awful. Ravenwarrior Online! Not sure the game could get much lower than it was at that stage, could it? The LRM stuff up came close, but even that was much more bearable than ravenfest 2013.. ..anyone complaining about the game now have no idea how bad it has been 'back in the day...

Of course my best guess is that they're noobs who haven't figured out how to turn throttle decay off yet, since in a small mech, speed is life. You keep moving or you're Gauss bait.
throtlle decay is a MUST when piloting a spider so whos the NOOb here ??? btw just to create more hate !
but what really was scary was the guy in the cicada doing 900 damge ( cicadas allways give me the creeps )

Obviously something odd going on with the hitbox there.
The flip side is that I was trying to leg a spider last night with my 4 PPC stalker (I'm original, I know) and I laughed out loud as I managed to get a bracket of two PPC shots to hit the leg and he fell over dead... missing his head :/

i honestly think that's what most of the QQers are trying to hit them with, because lasers **** spiders up royal.

I hit a spider in the knee and it's head exploded.
Hitbox is... odd to say the least.

I am now running a Spider in direct opposition to the PPCWarrior. I still get one shot on occasion, but not near the frequency of my Jenner (which is my favorite mech). Plus I bring ECM to my wolf pack. The hatred I receive for the Spider is almost to the level of my hatred of the PPCWarrior.

It would be like having your car fixed after it has been totaled and the engine block laying 100 meters from the point of impact.

There probably was no Awesome around that time so the CT-Damage-Transfer failed...

They may be,...
What I'm really referring to are the priorities, and focus, of the "management". Every indication is that they're trying to "play executive" rather than be a real part of the development process.

There's no reason why an atlas should still have the same honkin' AC20 barrel, when running 2 machine-guns. Or when you mount PPC's in the arms of a hunchback, it still shows the wee little laser mounts.

What I experienced was quite different actually. I'm currently in the last stages of mastering my hunchies and my 4H and 4G which carry a Gauss and an AC20 respectively had quite good success rates when used against spiders (about 50% chance of a displayed hit actually registering, that is) while laserfire did absolutely nothing. A spider running straight at my 4SP took 2 LLas and 2 MLas to center torso at about 250-300 meters, result: both legs, ct and one side torso briefly flashed, but ultimately no change in damage colors. So for me ballistic weapons (i count PPCs among them, even if I don't really use them myself) work somewhat while lasers are a waste of time and heat.

If it was only good light pilots who could do so, considerably less people would complain. As it is now, even Spiders who don't swerve, vary their speed or make good use of jumpjets (the things that usually distinguish good light pilots) can do so - as with the 3L plague in January, if every pilot can do it regardless of skill level, then it's a problem.
