Glad to see you guys giving this a shot... I have wanted a new MechWarrior game that could take me back to my old MechWarrior 2 days of running and gunning and enjoying every minute of it... I'll probably be in touch since my company loves to promote up and coming titles and we'd be more than happy to help test this out for you! :)

I was so heartbroken when i read that a MechWarrior reboot wouldn't happen.I read all the news that were publiced and i was so sad and angry.

It's such a wonderfull feeling to see this classic return, and especialy as a massive online game. I think this is the best thing for this game.

I'm wishing you the best of luck, although i doubt you'll need much, everyone loves a classic returning even better! Even newcomers will! Hey, almost everyone has grown up playing with toy robots wishing they could own and pilot one, right?

And when it comes to MW...boy there are so many hardcore fans out there!

Anyway, these are hard times we live in,we'll try to support you as much as we can and spread the word.We admire your efforts, and thank you for keeping the dream alive.

Can't wait to get a taste of it! :)

Wow, thanks for directness. It's quiet rare to read those kind of internal information and get eyes on mockup videos and early concept.
At least now I know, why it's been so quiet about the game for such a long time. And I'm really glad things went well for you guys.

So, keep up the good work. I really want to spent my money on this game so you can continue working on the franchise!

Best regards!

I have been waiting for this for years.

A friend of mine was working at a booksellers and bought the first ever copy of BT released into NZ sometime in the mid 80's. Since thenn I have bought and read all the BT novels. I still own all the sourcebooks and House histories, I played BT table top, ran MW campaigns, played all the MW PC games, both shooters and tacticals (Mech Commander FTW!) and dipped into the various online MW games as well.

Bring it on.

Will wait MWO.

P.S. Only one question: does developers played http://worldoftanks.com/ ? Also MMO.
About 3 millions users. Also F2P game (very friendly). Also about armoured monsters.
You can find very many good ideas in this game for MW. Local battles, global war on global map, etc etc.

It's great to see that the MW series is still going ahead and will be here soon....my question is what about the Single player aspect? it's great that it will be F2P and that means i may even try it i am not a fan on online/ multi-player games

I was over the moon excited that Mechwarrior was getting some love again and this bring me back down to earth with the news on the F2P model so please some Clarification would be nice

Thank you

My very first memory of Battletech/Mechwarrior was with the very first Battletech title The Crescent Hawk's Revenge. This was quickly followed by the sequel and then the one title that permanently made me a Battletech fan for life which was Mechwarrior on the PC. Running on a 386x66 running DOS, using an ad-lib sound card, and a Thrustmaster Flightstick (the good one that looked like the one from an F-4 Phantom) I played that game to death and over the years I ran thru more trips into the Inner Sphere:

Battledroids (soon to be known as Battletech)
Mechwarrior Solaris on Genie
Mechwarrior Solaris on Compuserve
Mechwarrior 2
Mechwarrior 2: Ghost Bear Legacy
Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries
Even More Battletech desktop gaming
Mechwarrior 3
Multiplayer Battletech 3025 by EA
Mechwarrior 4
Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries

And still today I dabble in the desktop boardgame version, and helping folks get their Mechwarrior 3 game on over at mech3.org, known as Battletech and eagerly await the new fiction that is still being produced even today. When I saw this announcement it was as if Christmas came early this year so thank you Pirana and everyone at Smith and Tinker for not letting this dream die.

For years I dreamed of sitting down behind the HUD and blasting the enemies of my Khan or House Lord to bits.
When MekTek released MW4 I thought that was the day.
When I rediscovered the Tesla Pods I too thought that was the day.
Now I know it will be when this game is released and I have all three ways to destroy and enjoy the Universe. *Mad cackle*

I have been playing mechwarrior games since mechwarrior 2. Loved them! I am happy to hear that this game is finally back because I honestly thought it was dead. I am alittle worried about the format in which the game is coming out, F2P games have been somewhat lacking imo, please just don't do any of that pay real money to rent a weapon thing..... You will lose me, and alot like me quickly....Hopefully this will be a great game, please just release alot of updates otherwise you will lose fanbase...I liked the first video with the thor and maddog going at it but oh well maybe someday we will get to the clan invasion :)

Good luck guys :D

Sounds fun, just hope it does something new with the concept besides just being online. I always felt every game after MW2 just polished the series while ignoring the rest of Battletech's non-mech-related things. Either way for the price it seems fair.
