That's really cool. This brings back fond memories of my playing with my big box-o-legos. I built a Warhammer as a kid, although it wasn't quite this good .

I'm sure you could make an improvement on it with Lego Digital Designer ? A Warhammer would be awesome too. I'm never going to be too old for Lego, it's too fun.

Thanks for digging out that link, Gecko. I'll have a good look in a little while - but one thing I did spot was someone starting a Catapult build from the cockpit. A pretty good way of making sure it's to scale I guess! Thanks for the build advice too.

I'd definitely be interested in the finished file, though!

I initially started with the figure in a cockpit, but I always stuffed up the rest afterwards.

I liked the idea of having a figure being able to fit in the cockpit, but originally I didn't intend to put a minifigure in due to the high price, and this:

As I worked up from the feet to the centre torso, I thought I'd just shove a figure in there, irregardless of it not being figure scale, giving a large amount of interior space to the cockpit.

Quick update.
I've nearly finished the right arm now with just the basic AC/10, I'll possibly finish that bit off tomorrow.

Here's the unfinished right arm with AC/10.



I'll post the AC/10 arm when it's finished later, then the Gauss and the Flame's Laser/Dual ERPPC Cannon.

If I get all that done with time to spare and no disagreements or criticisms from you guys, I'll go on to start the engine!

And again, if there are any niggles or quibbles that you've got about it, please tell me!

If all is well, I'll start working on the Gauss, Flame's Laser, left shoulder AC/20 and AC/2 and interior engine.

That... is the most beautiful lego dragon I have ever seen. Give yourself a pat on the back GizmoGecko, being a fan of the new Alex iglesias take on the dragon I think you have done extremely well to realize this mech in lego, its simply amazing

P.S I would love to have the... No I would die for the LDX file, so I could build this monster and display it in my book case with the rest of my battletech things. I will give credit

Please do more mechs and Keep up the EPIC work

Thank you! I have to agree on how amazing Alex's work is, and I've always loved his version of the Dragon. And in game, an undeniably difficult 'mech that is satisfying to succeed in!

That's what I intend to do also. I thought I'd better to do it quick and order it all before I start uni!

I'd be honored for someone to want to have their own: I'll finish off the engine interior tomorrow and then attempt to post the file itself so you can change colours, add weapons and do anything else you desire.



Be aware as well guys that it wouldn't be what it is without any of you guys who helped out! Especially for that left claw! I've really appreciated everyone's support.

Once I've ordered all the pieces from Pick A Brick on the Lego site (I tried rather hard to use only Pick A Brick pieces, although a few are not on it, but obtainable through the Piece Recovery option on the Lego site.) and put it all together to assure it's stability, I'll try getting round to putting it on Cuusoo and see if Lego are interested. I understand there are legal issues, and I guess it depends if both companies are open to the idea. I'll just post it and see what happens.

I've created the fusion reactor engine. (Shhhh don't show any scientists!)













As well as the engine being installed, I've managed to fill in a considerable amount of space in the nose, with only a few minute gaps now existing:

I have a problem with the file ( love the new engine compartment BTW )

when I enter the link it says i need permission to use the file or I can request access. Is this ment to happen if so I sent an access request just in C.A.S.E XD - what a bad MW joke

Also, I'm 3/4's through filling up my basket on Pick A Brick, and it's at £100.58 so far. Bear in mind the design has 1488 pieces.
