Whoa, my 680 with no overclock crushes the game at 90 fps on high with dips into the mid 80s.

^ My 660ti, runs pretty close to this as well

I'm loving 12 vs 12. It's like a whole new game now.

Do you even read the crap you post? It's not your opinion, it's how you present it. English! Do you speak it?!

I fail to see what was wrong with my post. What part of it is unintelligible to a person possessing the skill "English Comprehension" at rank three?

I know there was a loss in tactics, but my biggest concern is about ammo: ammo dependant mechs are running out of juice long before the end of the match.

I ask the devs only one thing: to double the ammo from the TT values.

Maybe because it only affects when you Alpha too much, and you can live without your OMG ALPHA!

Actually, it only effects a mech when it dares to fire more than two launchers at once.

I played about ten matches last night, and maybe I'm the exception and not the rule, but it seemed like the matches were far more interesting and tactical than they have been in 8v8 games. Very pleased so far.

Side note on the Cryengine: from what I've heard, the Cryengine is great at doing lush terrains like jungles and terrain and such, but kind of okay at other stuff. I'm kind of surprised PGI ponied up the license for Cryengine rather than just go for the UDK, which is free and is already set up to do most of what they were attempting.

Eh - that's why I'm not a programmer, I guess.

I haven't done all that many 12 man drops, but I really haven't had this problem. What weapons/builds are you using specifically?

I don't think they ponied up, but rather agreed to a % of the revenue. Cryengine is marketing to f2p games.

And power ups!

And we kill enemies by jumping on their heads. Absolutely neccessary.

Go on, but our princess is in another castle.

I will say YES to this. Death from Above has always been a table top staple. Having a 100 ton mech jump onto your lite can REALLY put a damper on things

this game is not GPU, it seems to use more CPU. thats not 50 bucks. if u have to upgrade mobo and CPU your looking at an easy 3-400 bucks for a cheap. then if u don't have access to a free copy of windows another 100 bucks. if your going to do that, mind as well do the whole comp.
Actually, the GPU is definitely the limiting factor on my end, as despite being a laptop, my Acer has a fairly great CPU (Intel's integrated graphics cards are really bad, but their processors are great). While I have MWO open, my laptop's only hitting 50% CPU usage.

Um...

That's because it's pegging one of your cores to 100%. It shows as 50% utilization, but that's of your total. Each core, of your dual-core is 50% of the total.

As it's a laptop, and an Acer at that, I doubt you have the capability to overclock your CPU, but that's definitely a choke-point for you, with regards to MWO.

Doesn't look like it's sticking to a single core to me.

us with good computers shouldn't have to worry about those with weaker systems

It's good you have a good computer. I consider mine good as well. When you take the performance of a player, and change it to almost exculsivly the performance of the hardware, you lose very good players. Keep the High End, that's where great computers enjoy things average ones don't. Don't take away the game play of what has been the minimums this long.

12v12 is more challenging because it does require more teamwork and communication. I enjoy it but I can see why it would be more daunting to new and casual players. There probably should still be an 8-man option, especially on the smaller maps.

I definitely experience a fps drop from about 30-60fps to 20-50fps (lowest is during action). It prompted me to get a new CPU and mobo. My processor has always been the bottle neck. My fps is now back to 30-70fps. Though I experience HUGE problems on Frozen City day with Thermal on. It's fine when I'm walking around but as soon as I get close to action it drops to around 2fps. So I just play without Thermal on that map :/

12v12 Pugs? Horrendous. I have watched match after match after match where players march off on Terra Therma in their assault mechs and get picked off by the OpFor who are waiting at their base or rolling 12 deep in a furball. I would have thought that being in a decent ELO bracket would restrict this level of.... uncoordinated play. Apparently not. This isn't a new problem, it is simply worse now that 4 more players are added to the drop.

I'm not sure you understand the ELO matchmaker but as your ELO approaches top levels, the odds of being given first-day teammates increases until it is almost guaranteed you will get one, if not two, beginners in trial mechs. This is not fun for you, this is not fun for them, this is not interesting competition for the enemy, and it is one of the major complaints #saveMWO has.

  • CB rewards have been adjusted to compensate for the additonal 4 players on the battlefield.
I'm not ok with making less C-bills for the same amount of time played. This is not OK.
