Ok so. After a series of improvements this patch brought about a SERIOUS performance hit for me.

On same settings as before I am now back down to 20 to 30 FPS on average when there is action (other mechs) in view.

Before patch I was at 45 to 60 depending on map not on number mechs seen.

I had to lower all settings to low and even with that I drop below 30 FPS on occasion when there is much action.

System Specs:

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 2.8 GHz
4 GB Ram
2x Radeon HD 5750 with 1 GB Ram each running at 740 MHz GPU Clock and 1200 MHz Ram Clock
Win 7 64 Bit

It become unplayable for me, all set to low, but still <10 fps ;)
Before that patch, the game was very pleasant to play

I can tell you this much: Intel Graphics 3000 can't pull the game anymore. Hangs, crashes, hangs. 10-15fps at max.

Sucks to be me, but I guess I didn't really expect it to play any better, having always played 8vs8 at around 20-25fps.

It's an i7 laptop, so the only issue is the graphics card. Boo :-(

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance
Much worse. Pretty much unplayable now. about 9-17 fps
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Mechlab seems fine, as soon as battle starts the game is slightly better than a slideshow.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Textures and object detal set to high, shadows and particles set to low, rest are medium (same as last patch). Tried on all low and got 13 -20 fps.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
19fps in mech lab and 13 in game (this patch). Don't know about last patch, I never turned on the frame rate indicator cause I never had a problem till now.
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
Intel core i5-750 processer

Can't remember off the top of my head, always have ping in the 30's / Midland, Ontario, Canada

EDIT: I should also note that fps aside the graphics seem to be worse even with the same settings. Just played Terra Therma and was stanting in theta and it reminded more of the game Dark Forces then the MWO I knew from last night. Hope this is fixed soon, love this game.

130 ping, used to get anywhere from 45-60 FPS, depending on the map, the phase of the moon, gravity, and the polarity fields of the server. Now it's at a strict 30 FPS.

Did not change my settings, and just patched. Crysis 3 still runs fine on very high+ settings in multiplayer games, for comparisons.

Yeah, I can only confirm this. Before patch I ran the game on lowest settings but it ran really smooth. Never below 25 even in big battles.

Now it visibly stutters and competitive shooters (even one as slow as mwo) are not much fun to play with 20 fps or lower.

But it's prolly just too much action for my old pc now. Fu**ing unlucky but I'll get back to the game when I'll manage to upgrade my rig at some point.

I'm not happy about that though hehe!

Extremely badly, everything was perfectly fine at very high settings in 8vs8, now its unplayable at these settings. Lowered everything, and even with somethings on mediums it lag terribly on maps with waters.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Water, smoke, effects, the usual.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
They were either at high/very high, now they are at medium and low, and I will have to lower them further.

Above 50-60 in menu, 30-50 ingame. Now 50-60 in the menu, at high settings lower than 15fps, at low around 30.

My HD 7950 can pull Very High in Battlefield 3 but I run MW:O at Medium to pull 30 FPS. My ping is more or less the same.
