no noticeable change in my stats, but post the hotfix the game has become more like a stop action movie than a game. you get five or six seconds of waiting for the mechs to move before the game catches up. Its impossible to aim accurately if you don't know where to aim!

Not seen it this bad for months...

My missing FPS seem to be back.

That said, I have having massive lag spikes now. Going from 20ish ping, up to 2000 or so, then back to normal, then to 400, then back to normal. Effectively rendering the game unplayable. Hopefully it settles down like... yesterday.

CBill nerf is still in effect, and that still blows. In all honesty, if that one isn't resolved, I am probably done with MWO. It pushes it from fun game with a grind, to... well, a grind.

After the hotpatch of tonight (9 Aug) my ping is suddenly 2300 +.
It started straight after the patch. Any Idea's? I can't play a single match now. :(

 • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes. -Gets worse when players are firing or are fired upon
 • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch? -Low. No.

 • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Previously I had average fps in the range of 50-60fps on Ultra High Settings, after patch fps will dip to 30 and stutter when the fps changes up and down. This is with vsync on
 • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Terra Therma especially
 • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
I've tried different setting none seem to make much difference. currently running on a custom of medium to high
 • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Menu fps has remained unchanged at 60fps, average in game is probably 40-45 now. The fps would be ok if it wasn't for the stutter.

Running on a Core i7 - 6 gig ram - Radeon HD7750 - Before the 12v12 patch I could run MWO on high at at 1440x900. After the patch and dropping my setting to LOW the game is still unplayable. Even after the hotpatch it still is unplayable. The odd part is once in a while I can get one game in that runs great - then the rest lag like hell. What the heck did you guys do?!?!?

Anyone else getting bad pings in the last few hours?

Normally 230, last few hours have been going as high as 350. Making it almost impossible to play.

Did a trace and as usual pings are rock solid all the way to Canada. It's only in last few hops that it goes haywire and jumps through the roof.

Here's a ping test :

Lots of jumps to 270.

Making the HSR think I keep missing, making game really hard to play :)

Update 19/08/13 - Still getting spikes up into the 300's.

 • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
- I am now averaging 20-30 less FPS than before. Where i was playing before at 60-70, i am now lucky to get 50 in most cases (average 30-40)
 • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
- There is no specific point. The entire game has taken a hit, but of course lots of action still takes the hardest hit.
 • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
- 1920x1080, High, Blur off. NO changes made for the last several patches.
 • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Menus - Holding at 60 all the time, In game - pre patch: 60-70, post patch 30-50.

Thank you Developers! My FPS has improved a lot. The game is playable for me again. My FPS has even gone beyond what it was ever able to do with the game.

How had the patch generally affected your performance?

well badly to be blunt, before I was getting 45-60 fps in game , now I'm seeing it average around 35-45 and I don't have shabby or old hardware. the menus are still the same solid 60 fps. The drops are most noticeable in combat where I see some dips to low 20's now which I never saw before on this PC, but in general the frame rate is lower even when not in combat which is just odd. My ping is same as always about 60-100 which is good enough. My hardware is
amd FX 8350 8 core cpu at stock clock of 4.0 GHZ, 16 gig ddr3 pc 1866 ram, Powercolor M.Y.S.T. edition radeon 7870 (Tahiti core same as a 7950's gpu not standard 7870 pitcairn)
That said I have always ran this game with max settings @ 1080p on this PC like I said its not in the lower end of hardware so something went wrong with the code in this patch I'd say.

-How had the patch generally affected your performance?
I get FPS Freezes every now and then. (Fps is fine 60fps then suddenly boom <1fps back to 60fps)

-Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
What i stated above usually happens when:
-there are a lot of Mechs present
-i do a 180° turn
-i see alot of burning corpses
-in a big brawl

-What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Very High (Customized: Everything maxed out) i did not touch those settings for ages.

Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Apart from the Lagspikes ingame (where i drop to 1fps) im steady at 60fps

System specs
Spoiler

Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
DSL 16k - Germany

Edit: I still experiance this after the "Hotfix" before i had no issues with FPS whatsoever
