This mech plays awful.
The SRMs now spread out so far that hitting the same area is impossible even at point blank.
The Streaks "auto" spread so much they are totally useless and will not be used until fixed somehow.
LRM boat? - not with the tonnage available...
Leaving 3 pulse lasers or such to make up for the firepower... and a start heat efficiency of 1.12 <- "really"?

To add insult to injury the SRM nerf comes at the same time (and basically the heat "penalty" for firing more weapons are out of canon with Battletech and old school Mechwarrior -where alfa strike has always been a option- and now for many builds its not -where it´s quite possible to blow yourself up on heat)

I´ll not even get into the CT -.- many ppl has made it abundantly clear that its too big.

Its handeling is awful and not at all like a medium mech (more like a sluggish heavy) Torso twist speed sucks horrible.
I dont see how the mech can perform in a competitive environment at all.

Words like "Broken" and "unplayable" come to mind.

I´d like a refund, or I might sell it for c-bills and feel cheated.

I worry about the shadowhawk when it appears, in the books we have the mech able to roll to avoid incoming fire as it's a nimble mech. ( i know we won't see this kind of manover in mechwarrior)

At this rate it's going be too big, handle like an assault and have a CT that rival's an awesome's.

Another mech that is way too tall. That, coupled with it's slow speed and slow torso twist, DOA like so many others before it.

its too slow and clunky for what it is, its pretty big and dosent hold up well to concentrated fire, its also so close range but how will it ever get into close combat when its getting ppc sniped?

All I have to say is fix the hitboxes for the CT.

I see no reason to support this game anymore, they cant be playing it or testing it properly.

Every mech they release is utter garbage.

Cant say I'm surprised this joke of a developer had a hand in duke nukem forever...nuff said.

Every time I take a decent break from the game I come back and it's worse, it used to get slightly better but I rather have the hud issues than all of these other gameplay issues. The game is no fun at all anymore and cant stand more than a match or 2 anymore before I quit.

I see a hotfix and no mention of fixing the Golden Boy. Are they seriously going to leave it broken? If so I want my money back as it is absolutely faulty!

To be fair I gave it a go incase they ninja fixed it in the patch. Nope its still {Shazbot}. How can they still advertise and sell this mech to people when its absolutely broken! NOT COOL!!!!!!! Any reputable company would withdraw and item from sale if there is something wrong with it, there is something clearly wrong with the KTO-GB!

I feel a bit cheated as well, for all of the above mentioned reasons. It's a good looking mech. It's huge and it's fragile.

It doesnt' take a beating that is for sure. I hide behind the big guys until the fight starts then come out of hiding. Works good for me. sometimes i get caught other times i beat the crap out of stuff. Last round i did 4 kills and tons and tons of damage. kills were spider almost instant. Jag at full health highlander at full health and a catapult. damaged 5 others too.

I am not saying it is great but get a little bit of tactics and not run in head first and you will do good things with this mech.

the only thing i will say that is messed up is it is freeking huge.

So after bringing this mech out into the field many times now, I have noticed how I almost ALWAYS lose my center torso, and I was wondering why. I went into the mech lab, and I noticed that a large section of the rear of the GB, is counted as the front torso. Posted Image

Easiest to kill 'cause of big size to its class (same size as heavies but half of armor), slowliness and HUGE CT. Is this mech some sort of a joke?
Main weapons are heat nerfed straight from start? WTF?!?

Too bad that I bought this piece of crap which explodes immediatelly when enemy sees it.

That's why it's always best to wait some feedback on these things before buying.. As soon as I met a few enemy ones I felt something was really wrong with them.. like you targeted them and 90% were cored with the rest absolutely fresh, not even yellow xD

Mech's CT is massive, but mostly because this mech is massive.

Please, please, please PGI, even if you don't rescale this mech (and many others that desperately need it, like the Trebuchet, Quickdraw, Awesome, etc), then please reconsider your scaling process on 50-60 ton mechs. It is clearly not working properly.

Just look at it like this. Would you listen to somebody if they told you to take a Victor and remove around 200 armor? No, I bet you wouldn't. So why in the name of Paul would you want to pilot a Kintaro? They're absolutely massive mechs.

You can not have balance for these chassis when they are the size of assaults with almost a half the armor. They're just begging to die like that.

I kept reading that the CT is massive. So I did a test. I reduced the side torso armor to 10. Then I played 15 games. My side torso was destroyed 1 time, and only after I used that side a shield and the arm was destroyed first.

YES! I also noticed that I was taking front damage when hit from behind.

Verdict: A strictly worse CPLT-C4 or CN9-A. :)
It is slow, easy to destroy and brings nothing new to the game.

After reading your ask the devs from 2 weeks ago on re-scaling mechs and how much work that is, I am sorry to say this but:

In business sometimes you make mistakes. To fix those mistakes costs you time and money. You need to spend that time and money fixing this guy or you will have many unsatisfied customers.

My only issue with this mech is the CT hit box. Model design and mech quirks are things that we as players are suppose to adjust to. I have taken my GB out 22 times 17 of those matches I have died. every time I have died it has been with my CT cored and very little dmg elsewhere. As it stands currently this mech is very near impossible to use. I don't mind the idea of it having a big CT but the hit box size right now is too big. I don't need it to have the survivability of a centurion but for it to be worse than a K2 is troubling.
