Hi all!
Just my feedback after the hotfix;
I was very happily surprised by the improvement on performance. :)
My fps is a bit better than the fps i was getting with 8v8. I average around 35-50. I could actually raise a couple of graphics settings to get the weapon trails back on, object details to higher levels with minimal impact on performance. I will try high settings on all to see what i'm getting as a comparison. This "damage glow" thingy really made things much better. :D
Good Job!

On another note, hit registration is getting worse :(. Before the recent patch i used to see hits registering 60-70% of the time, now its the OTHER way around... :(

my system specs:
AMD phenom 9850 quad core CPU at 2.5 GHz
Asus M2N32 Sli Deluxe Mainboard
Asus HD7770 HD 1GB DDR5 Graphics card
WDC Sata 320GB HD
4 GB DDR2 800MHz memory
windows 7 ultimate 64bit

Edit: i forgot to mention, that using the F9 button to monitor fps, i also noticed a more erratic behaviour in fps, jumping within a wide range from 25-60 all the time during games. Is there anything i could try to lock it down to a specific range to see if it helps? Thanks

dammmmmmmmmmmmmmm i got 4-6 fps lol i can play just as an LRM boat i even load 30 lrm in my cicada XD if there would be an option for 8 vs 8 i wouldn't need to buy a new video card now. bey-bey Battlemaster :'(

update its time to buy the battlemaster XD i getting 33fps instead of 4 since im playing the game my max fps was 21
now i got 33 amazing thx

FPS increased massively and it's stopped my freezing in game as well. Good job PGI

Just ran a test game on a somewhat modest rig:
win vista 32bit
4x2.5GHz (core 2 based xeon)
Geforce 8600 GT
4GB FBDIMM RAM (667MHz)

Well... not really playable at windowed 1024x768, low settings, got a very choppy 10-20FPS ingame. Still got one kill though!

I'm tempted to test a radeon hd 3870 I still have around, just to see how good a job devs did optimizing MWO.

This patch fixed the fps issues from the original 12v12 patch. I'm now somehow getting the same stable fps that I was getting back with 8vs8. Loving it! :)

Ok that is a hell of a Rig :)
to get this game going the min i would suggest is a . 4 Core CPU, 4Gig Ram, and something like a ATI 7790.
I think the Devs do no optimizing for a graphic card this old.

Great Job this time. Nearly doubled my average fps from barely playable 16-26 to 40-60 fps.

I am very pleased with this hotfix. I got better performance than pre 12vs12 patch, now averaging +30 fps instead of my usual 15-20. Looks like a new game and plays much better. Cheers!

I'm a little miffed here. Prior to the 12 v 12 patch, I was fine. Now, even after the hotfix, as soon as ballistics start going off in a crowd, my FPS will start at 27, the bleepin screen will freeze, then it drops to 9, then jumps to 57, then to 9, then back to 27. I don't know what it is that you guys did but you need to fix it.

Yeah, I picked up two of those at a flea market, bargained down to 5eur for both. By how even the grime was on the cards, I suppose they used to run in SLI.

Nowadays, these are too slow to even run physx next to my main GPU... But still can run MWO, if not actually play it.

The purpose of the test was to see if it would run at all, and since it did, devs deserve a little round of applause... Also to see how bad would it run. Anyone claiming worse with modern hardware should probably look for the problem elsewhere, or is a clear case of severe incompatibility with particular hardware.

I cleansed my whole system. I reinstalled the game.

While other games run EVEN better now (WoT on Very High - Medium),

I got >FPS 24 in MWO while all on low /no glow

-.-

As I noted earlier, just posting some text and then saying fix it, does nothing to help PGI solve the issue. Get a support ticket open and submit some specs to them as well. If you don't know what they did, you can't really expect them to know either without giving them some feedback on what you're encountering and what your specs are. I understand the frustration, but help them out a bit too.

When people say they get framerate X, do you mean you get than consistently? I didn't really have low fps even before this hotfix. When I drive forward it's something like 40-60 depending on map. The problem for me has always been that when I turn around quickly the game momentarily stutters to 10fps or so. This is even more true at the beginning of the battle. Almost as if the game doesn't load up all resources in advance. When I turn left, the game realizes that ooh, he wants to see what's left and only then loads up what's there.

I usually mean about that when I say it. My framerate since patch has been everything from 8 to 60. 95% of the time its between 10 and 35. 60% of that time its in the red... or 10 to 21ish (not sure the exact red cutoff).
